2.4.18 (Super 60) - Missouri State recruit. 6-foot-1, 245-pound right-handed hitting first baseman, extra-large frame, extraordinarily strong lower half, wide shoulders; possesses overall man-strength. Highly athletic and nimble for his size. Ran a 7.13 laser-timed 60, and handles himself around first base with natural agility and ease. His right-handed bat is his calling card, though he had uneven results during his two rounds of BP. Hits from a spread setup, leg lift back, utilizes lower half well, maintains balance throughout. Generates above-average bat speed, short, compact swing path, minimal hand load, lacks separation, pull-side line-drive results with occasional lift. Has natural strength in the hands, registered 95 mph exit velocity off a tee.

10.15.17 - Verbally committed to Missouri State.

8.31.17 - De-committed from North Carolina.

5.17.17 - North Carolina commit. Currently ranked No. 16 in the Illinois’ 2018 class and No. 349 overall. 6-foot-2, 240-pound, extra-large, imposing infielder with impressive athleticism for size. Offensively, right-handed hitter, hits in the three-hole, went 1-for-4 with a line-drive, solo home run, down the left-field line. Starts from a balanced, slightly open setup, pre-pitch rhythm and short stride. Creates easy bat speed and has raw power with natural lift in swing. Looks to do damage with every swing while maintaining plate discipline. Ran a 4.43 down the line on a groundball in the infield. Defensively, played third base but is a natural first baseman. Moves well for size on the infield and has soft hands. Projects as middle of the lineup bat with power at the next level. 2018 draft follow.

2.19.17 - North Carolina recruit. 6-foot-1, 235-pound, physical, defined, hulking right-handed hitting first baseman. One of the top power bats in the Illinois’ 2018 class. Offensively, balanced setup, smooth load, short toe-tap stride and maintains excellent balance through contact. Remains quiet and simple, path is short to the ball, creates advance bat speed, makes a lot of hard contact, the ball jumps off his bat, current pull-side power; registered a 95 mph exit velocity from a tee. Defensively, features highly athletic feet at first base for his size. Fluid, quick movements around the bag and maintains body control. Hands are soft, fields athletically out in front of his body. Short arm action and throws clocked at 72 mph across the infield.

9.11.16 - Verbally committed to North Carolina.

Future Games 2016 - 6-foot-1, 235-pound right-handed hitting first baseman, extra-large frame, extremely strong lower half, wide shoulders; possesses overall man-strength. Highly athletic and nimble for size. Ran a 7.11 laser-timed 60, runs bases aggressively, stole a few bags during Future Games. His carrying tool, however, is his right-handed power. Generates advanced bat speed with minimal load, maintains balance through contact, stays strong through the ball, natural loft in swing; has legitimate pull-side power. Registered 96-mph exit velocity. Defensively, is overall excellent first baseman. Handles himself well around the bag; nimble feet, soft hands, big target, picks throws in the dirt, even nearly did the splits in game action. Knows the nuances of the position. Quiet competitor, plays hard.

Advanced bat speed and bat strength for age, 92 mph exit velocity from the tee. Swing showed easy pop, pull side power, loud contact. 7.34 runner in the 60. Defensively moves well around the bag, average hands, long over the top arm action, 72 mph across the diamond.

1.17.16 - Strong build at 6-foot1, 220-pounds. Right-handed hitting first baseman. Offensively hits from a balanced stance, loads to backside with a short stride. Gap to gap hitter with raw pop. Ball jumped off of his bat and made a different sound during his round of batting practice. Simple compact swing, plus strength, fluid rhythm and consistently made hard contact. Presence and confidence in the box. Starts from a tall, open stance and long stride. Short path to the baseball and gets extension through contact. Has present pull power, showcased when he hit a home-run to deep left-center field. Exit velocity registered, 87 mph, well-above average for his age. Defensively, worked out in both the outfield and infield. Projects as more of a first-baseman. Moves well around the bag at first and showed feel for the position. Reliable hands and clean exchange. Short-arm action, over-the-top slot and clocked at 65 mph across the infield. From the outfield, plays through the baseball. Clocked at 71 mph from the outfield from an over-the-top slot.
