Unsigned senior. 6-foot, 195-pound right-handed hitting outfielder, athletic build. Started in right field and hit third against Glenbrook North; Had three at-bats, all QAB’s. Finished 2-for-2 with a pair of doubles to his pull side, intentionally walked in his other plate appearance, scored twice. Sets up even with movement in his hands, short stride and load, rhythmic pre-pitch. Handsy hitter with some twitch, path is short and direct, aggressive and loose, can lift the baseball, favors pull side, easy effort. Average runner. Made the play on only ball hit his way in the outfield, came in a line drive, judged it well.
2.21.16 - 5-foot-11, 165-pound, athletically built, right-handed hitting infielder. Well above-average exit velocity for a freshman, 90 mph. Offensively, fluid rhythm, present bat speed, long path through the zone and a gap-to-gap approach. Balanced setup, smooth pre-pitch load and short stride. Defensively, clean exchange on the infield. Long arm action, over-the-top to high ¾ slot and clocked at 76 mph. Also, a 4.44 runner down the line.
