8.21.16 - 6-foot-4, 212-pound right-handed pitcher, extra large body, stronger build. Delivers with some effort, toe lift to balance, slightly on heels, squared landing. Arm action is long and firm, high ¾ slot. Fastball has arm side run, played 84-86 mph, some feel for the zone. Curveball flashed action, 11/5 shape, 68-72 mph. Changeup is thrown aggressively, flashed arm side action, 78-80 mph.
2.21.16 - 6-foot-4, 210-pound, physical, durable frame, right-handed pitcher. On the mound, up-tempo windup, regular effort in his delivery, some rhythm and throws strikes. Long arm action, high ¾ slot; stays on line, slightly closed at foot strike and athletic finish. Fastball flashed slight arm-side-run and clocked at 82-83 mph, touching 84. Curveball has feel, gets around it at times, 12/6, 11/5 action; 66-69 mph. Changeup, feel, firm, works straight and clocked at 77-78 mph.
2.14.16 - 6-foot-4, 205-pound right-handed pitcher, solid build with some strength. Delivery is smooth, lower balance point, works on line with tempo. Arm action has length, come out of short window, high ¾ slot, average arm speed. Fastball is mostly straight, four seam, occasional arm side run, 82-83 mph. Curveball has 11/5 shape, showed some feel, occasionally got more sweep action, 65-67 mph. Changeup is thrown with comparable arm speed, flashed arm side run with feel, 76-78 mph.
Summer 2020: 6-foot-5, 235 pounds right-hander Brett Taucher (Quincy U) is an imposing presence on the mound. With a low-spin 89-90 mph fastball from a high-three quarter slot and an average 79-81 mph high-spin curve up to 2875 rpm, he has struck out 12 in 12.2 IP, while allowing just three hits for a miniscule 0.71 ERA.
