3.15.18 - John A. Logan commit. Currently ranked No. 76 in PBR Illinois’ Class of 2018. 6-foot-4, 190-pound, right-handed pitcher, long, lean frame, plenty of room to fill out. Fastball, mostly straight, located, 83-85. Featured two breaking balls, a softer 11/5 with depth at 66 mph, and a harder 10/4, some sweeping action at 69-70. Effectively mixed both in to keep the Breese Central offense off balance. Went 5 IP, 6 Ks, 1R, 1BB.  Offensively, put barrel on ball consistently, did not try to do too much against lesser velocity. Collected three singles and three RBI.

2.9.18 - Verbally committed to John A. Logan JC.

1.21.18 - High upside frame, long and lean build, 6-foot-4, 190-pound two-way player. Right-handed hitter, open stance, weight balanced, short stride, works linear to front foot. Path is short to the baseball, has bat speed, front foot hitter, contact is hard occasional backspin, 88 mph exit velocity from the tee. 7.16 runner in the 60. Defensively plays through the baseball easy action, long exchange. Arm action is short and over the top, carries at 87 mph from the outfield. Similar arm action on the mound, drop and drive style, athletic finish. Fastball is straight, showed control, 83-86 mph. Slider is occasionally sharp, 11/5 shape, control for zone, 69-71 mph. Changeup has feel, 75-76 mph.

2.19.17 - 6-foot-4, 190-pound, long, lean, projectable two-way prospect with plenty of room for continued development. Right-handed hitter, wide setup, smooth pre-pitch load, short stride and flashed bat speed at the plate; 88 mph exit velocity from a tee. Short path to the ball, gets extension through contact and line-drive approach. Defensively, steady hands and plays through the baseball in the outfield. Arm works short and loose from an over-the-top slot, clocked at 85 mph. On the mound, right-handed pitcher, tall and fall, hybrid delivery with some rhythm throughout. Works across his body and lands closed at times. Short, loose, quick arm from an over-the-top slot. Fastball works straight, 80-82 mph. Slider, thrown for strikes, lateral 10/4 action, 67-69 mph. Changeup, maintains arm speed, sinking action, 72-73 mph.

10.16.16 - 6-foot-4, 180-pound, long, lean and projectable two-way prospect. First time we have seen him on the mound. Right-handed pitcher with a loose, quick arm out of a high ¾ slot. Smooth delivery, stays on-line, lands closed, finishes athletically with regular effort throughout. Fastball works straight and clocked at 80-82 mph. Curveball, maintains arm speed, 1/7 shape and sat 65-67 mph. Changeup looks to be his best out pitch, fastball arm speed and sinking action, 71-72 mph. Offensively, right-handed hitter, loose, whippy hands, fluid rhythm and bat speed; 87 mph exit velocity from a tee. Balanced, open setup, leg-lift timing trigger and good balance throughout. 1.17.16 - Long and lean, extremely projectable 6-foot-3, 175-pound, plenty of room for continued physical development, right-handed hitting outfielder. Offensively, loose hands and incorporated his lower half into his swing. Fluid rhythm, flashed bat speed, a level bat path and a gap-to-gap approach. 7.20.15 - Long and lanky 6-foot-3, 165-pound projectable frame right-handed hitting outfielder. His frame alone will get your attention as he has plenty of room to fill out as he continues to mature. Offensively, the right-handed hitter flashed loose, whippy hands through the zone. Linear lower half and finishes off his backside. Balanced, tall setup, short stride, long swing path and maintains balance through contact. Registered an 85 mph exit velocity off of a tee. Defensively, the lanky right-handed outfielder had some bounce, moving around fluidly and on the balls of his feet. Defensively, threw 74 mph across the diamond from short, loose, high ¾ arm slot, carry on throws, average hands fielding. Ran a 7.64 60. Robinson has a projectable frame and athletic actions, as he adds strength he could turn out to be one of the top prospects in Illinois’ 2018 class.

10.21.14 - 6-foot-2, 155-pound lanky and athletic right-handed middle infielder hits from a balanced, spread out setup, hands load back smoothly, short stride, lunges at times, fluid rhythm, short, uphill bat path, high finish, produced 78 mph exit velocity. Defensively, impresses with hands fielding and long loose, high ¾ arm action at 73 mph across the diamond. Frame may outgrow the middle of the diamond, profiles on the infield corners. Ran a 7.68 60. Robinson is an extremely projectable freshman who is a high follow over the next several years.

9/16/19:Picturesque 6-5/190 frame, athletic build with plenty more room for continued physical development. Athlete on the mound. Athletic arm action, clean, loose and easy out of the hand coming out of a high-3/4 slot. Fastball ranged between 87-90, played mostly true, but got lots of swings/misses on it. Pounded the zone with three pitches, and shuffled them at will. Breaking ball sat 78-79 with varying shape; threw a few with 11/5 shape and late bite, and some with more 12/6 depth. Throws 80-81 CH with fastball arm action and fade. Composed demeanor, works fast and confidently on the mound. Simple delivery with minimal movement, lands open. Has gained significant velocity since HS, and looks like there’s still plenty more velo to be had. High-celling prospect whose best days are still ahead of him.
