Parcell took home his share of hardware over the course of his prep career; being named CSL Player of the Year twice, All-Area Captain, Maine West Athlete of the Year, and being inducted into the Maine West Hall of Fame. This past season was perhaps his best to date, as he hit his way to a .566 average in 83 at-bats with one home run, five triples, eight doubles, 29 RBIs, 25 runs scored, an OBP of .654, SLG % of .891, OPS of 1.473 and 18 stolen bases - also now holding the Maine West record for highest batting average and OBP in a single season. His pitching numbers were equally staggering, as he collected a perfect 8-0 record in 53 innings with 89 strikeouts (Maine West single season record), a 1.05 ERA and WHIP of 1.18.
Left/left OF Charlie Parcell (Maine West, 2023) was an early uncommitted winner from this event. On the workout day, Parcel ran a 6.75 60-yard dash and reached a peak speed of 20.7 mph during his sprint, jumping 30 inches in the vertical test as well. He flashed upside attached to a loose, athletic left-handed stroke and translated that to gameplay, doubling early on Wednesday morning and finishing 2-for-2 with a walk, run scored, and three RBIs.
