4.24.17 - Uncommitted and currently ranked No. 30 in the Illinois’ 2018 class. 6-foot, 165-pound, athletically built, high-waisted, left-handed hitting third baseman. Big day offensively, for the Caravan. Went 2-for-3 with an RBI double to right field and a run-scoring single up the middle. Tall, slightly open setup at the plate. Natural lift in swing, loose hands throughout. Defensively, has the ability to play the left-side of the infield. Fluid defender, athletic infield actions, maintains body control on the move and sure hands. Short arm, ball comes out of his hand easy, clean transfer and can throw from multiple slots. One of the top infielders still available in the 2018 class.
2.19.17 - 6-foot, 165-pound left-handed hitting shortstop. Advanced foot speed, 6.88 runner in the 60. Hits from a slightly open stance, short stride, maintains balance through contact. Easy swing with barrel control, uses the whole field, repeats well with loose athletic hands. Showed bat speed on level path, some extension, 89 mph exit velocity from the tee. Defensively hands are soft, shows actions and plays confidently, fluid action uses good angles. Arm action is short and loose, high ¾ slot, 84 mph exit velocity across the diamond.
6.8.16 - 6-foot, 160-pound, athletically-built infielder. Defensively, natural, athletic infield actions. Smooth, fluid footwork, good body control and quick, clean transfer. Confident hands, play soft and fields the baseball athletically, out in front of his body. Loose arm from a high ¾ slot; throws clocked at 82 mph with carry across the diamond. Left-handed hitter, aggressive approach and looseness in swing. Fluid rhythm, pull approach and uphill bat path; 83 mph exit velocity. Open setup, smooth pre-pitch load, short stride and good balance through contact. 7.32 runner in the 60, laser-timed.
1.17.16 - 5-foot-11, 150-pound two-way player, average athletic build, projects best as a position player. Left-handed hitter, good setup, slightly open stance, short stride that slightly dives. Loose hands, hands worked in swing, showed ability to barrel baseballs, line drive approach with some opposite field tendencies in BP. 73 mph exit velocity from the tee. Defensively showcased softer hands, with actions that played through the baseball, ability to control his body on the move. Arm action is short, over the top slot, arm flashed some carry and has the ability to release from multiple angles. On the mound delivery has some effort, high ¾ slot, short arm action. Fastball has slight run, 75-76 mph. Curveball played with 11/5 shape, 67-70 mph. Showed feel for his changeup, 70-72 mph.
