The right-hander operates from a simple, controlled delivery with a high leg lift. Full, quick arm action from a ¾ arm slot. His fastball sat 84-86 mph while topping out at 86.4 mph. Burns mixed in a sharp slider that sat 69-72 mph while also showing a changeup that sat 79-80 mph with sinking actions. Should play a key role in Morton’s season this Spring.

Mixed in a changeup that sat 77-78 that he kept low. Also, had a curveball that sat 71-72 with 11/5 shape with depth. Picked a runner off at second twice in the game, including one that ended an inning.
