Cohn swings with intent and occasional violence, but he’s also able to stay on the barrel consistently and make a lot of hard contact, especially to his pull-side gap. Cohn registered a max distance off the bat of 352 feet, aided by a max exit velocity of 96.0 mph. Defensively, he uses his feet well getting out of the crouch and gaining ground while showing off a plus arm that has life and carry at 81 mph. He also registered pop times of 1.90-1.94. On top of that, Cohn got on the mound and ran his fastball up to 87.2 mph with a downer, high-spin curveball, 75-77 mph, spinning at an average of 2,558 rpm.

Athletic, projectable frame, two way player. Started on the mound for Pro Player Canes on Sunday against Indiana Bulls. Pitched 5.1 innings, 7 strikeouts, 1 walk, 4 earned runs, and 6 hits. Quick, short arm action. Had a high ¾ arm slot and landed square on his finish. Fastball sat at 75-78 mph, topped at 80 mph. Curveball had an 11/5 shape and ranged from 61-63 mph. Changeup arm action was similar to his fastball, sat 67-68 mph. The right handed hitter went 1 for 2 at the plate with a double and a walk. Defensively, showed natural instincts behind the plate on Friday against Indiana Elite. Adept blocker that boasts an above-average arm with carry. Smooth receiver, presents the ball well, clean/quick transfer of the baseball. 1.98-2.13 pop time in between innings, threw a runner out as well. Overall, has the tools necessary to stick behind the plate in the long-term.


5-foot-8, 145 pound, athletic, right handed hitting catcher. Offensively, open tall setup, short leg kick, engaged lower half, maintains balance through contact. Smooth pre-pitch load with fluid rhythm, present bat speed, level barrel path with extension and consistent hard contact. 77 mph exit velocity off the tee. Behind the plate, fluid footwork, clean exchange, athletic actions. Quick short action, high ¾ slot, throws flashed carry and accuracy, topped at 73 mph from behind the dish. Pop times ranged from 2.00-2.12. Home to first in 5.12. On the mound, quick, loose, short arm action, with some effort. Linear landing with a square, out front finish. Commanded fastball well in lower part of the zone, ranging from 73-75 mph. Curveball ranged between 62-65 mph. Changeup arm action was near fastball, arm side run, sitting between 67-70 mph.
