Uncommitted. Stands in at an athletic 6-foot-2, 165-pounds with room to add more strength. Batted out of the sixth-spot in the lineup and played right field, going 1-for-3 with a double, an RBI and a run scored. He has a relaxed look about him in the box with a slightly crouched and open setup. He uses a short leg kick stride with a barrel tip load, while swinging with a slightly uphill path with intent to lift the ball. In his first at-bat, he put a strong swing on a ball that he sent to deep center field for a double. Christman also showed comfortability with his routes in the outfield, and showed to be a steady defender.

RHP Donovan Christman (McHenry, 2025) showed plenty of projection and intrigue on the mound in his ‘pen on Sunday. At 6-foot-2, 174-pounds, Christman’s firmest bullet came in at 82 mph from a high slot, playing downhill in the zone and near the lower quadrant. The separator for Christman, however, was his aptitude to spin a curveball at 2,500+ RPM at 66-69 mph with 17+ inches of horizontal movement at max, too. His physical stature, easy operation, and ability to spin have Christman trending upward heading into the winter.

Positional Profile: RHP/OF
Body: 6-2, 174-pounds.
Delivery: Stretch only. Starts on the third base side of the rubber, tall/fall type delivery with some lower half drive, high front side, works closed off from target with extension downhill.
Arm Action: RH. Arm draws down from the glove, over-the-top finish.
FB: T81.5, 77-80 mph. Worked both a two and four seam grip. Some downhill tilt created from a high slot, two-seam played low and in to the arm-side corner of the plate. T2214, 1949 average rpm.
CB: 66-69 mph. 12/6 shape with tight spin and depth. Advanced feel to spin, worked around the zone. T2505, 2410 average rpm.
SL: 68-70 mph. Similar action and slot to curveball. T2340, 2282 average rpm.

Hit: RHH. Wide base, slightly crouched, smooth load into a medium stride, simple hand load. Flat direct bat path, line drive approach. Simple and repeats.
Power: 91 max exit velocity, averaged 83.3 mph. 301’ max distance.
Arm: RH. OF - 82 mph. Long/clean arm circle into a high 3/4 slot.
Defense: Athletic look, quick actions at times, gains ground through release.
Run: 7.73 runner in the 60.
