Verbally committed to the University of Toledo.

RHP Dylan Huff (Glenwood, 2026) is an uncommitted, ranked No. 15 overall in the Illinois class of 2026, and a Future game alum. Huff gave one of the best looks on the mound on Wednesday afternoon. The lean and athletic, 6-foot-1, 177-pound frame had complete control of a three-pitch mix, keeping hitters off-balanced and collecting four strikeouts through two innings. The fastball was sitting 86-88 mph, with slight cutting action and 18.4 IVB. The slider was 74-77 mph, with a gyro profile and 2200 RPMs. The changeup was 77-79 mph with arm-side run. In-game, Huff was attacking the zone, able to generate soft contact outs while getting whiffs with the slider and working with a high pace on the mound. The right-hander works out of a controlled, staggered setup, drop and drive, working down the mound. The arm works clean, easy from the ¾ slot. A must-know arm in the Illinois class of 2026.

5/20/25

Uncommitted, currently ranked No. 15 in the state and No. 439 nationally. Athletic 6-foot-3, 180-pound frame with room to add strength. Started in center and hit out of the two-hole. Huff showed well on Tuesday as he went 1-for-3 at the plate. The right-handed hitter operates from a wide, upright stance with a long stride. Strong hands from a compact swing with an uphill bat path. Showed a whole field approach. Connected on a single into right field in the third inning. Showed a patient approach throughout the game, including working a walk in his final at bat. Covered plenty of ground in center and showed off a strong arm during I/O.

5/07/25

Uncommitted, currently ranked No. 13 in the state. Athletic 6-foot-3, 180-pound frame with room to add strength. Started in center field and hit out of the two-hole. Huff impressed at the plate and on the mound on Wednesday. At the plate, he went 2-for-3 with two extra-base hits while driving in three runs. The right-handed hitter operates from a wide, upright stance with a long stride. Strong hands with a compact swing from an uphill bat path. Showed a gap-to-gap approach. Showed pull-side power with a two-run home run. On the mound, Huff threw two innings in relief. The right-hander operates from a tall/fall approach with a high leg lift with tuck while using the mound for plane. Long, clean arm action with good extension from a ¾ slot. Fastball sat 87-89 with straight actions. Mixed in a slider that sat 76-78 with sharp actions.

3/20/25

RHP Dylan Huff (Glenwood, 2026) continues to cement himself as one of the top remaining uncommitted arms in the state. A Prep Baseball Future Games participant last summer, Huff continues to get better with each watch for our staff. A lean and athletic 6-foot-3, 180-pound righty who also stars on the gridiron in the fall, was running his fastball up to an easy 89 mph (sitting 87-88) while being around the zone consistently. He can spin both breaking balls; he had stronger feel for the slider on this day for 75% strikes and over -17” of HM on average, while his curveball played vertically with 11/5 shape and over -1” IVB on average. Huff was also able to show a changeup that could be a potent tertiary offering, sitting 81-82 mph for 60% strikes, playing sinking action. Huff will be a key arm for what should be a really high-quality Glenwood team in the spring.

8/12/24

2024 Future Games: RHP Dylan Huff is yet another talented arm coming out of Glenwood High School. A multi-sport athlete, he still has plenty of upside in his 6-foot-3, 170-pound frame. His delivery is loose and easy with minimal effort down the mound, and his arm has clean actions that work out of a high ¾ slot. His fastball sat 87-89 mph, and topped out at 90 mph multiple times. Huff’s slider is a standout off-speed pitch, sitting mostly 74-77 mph with 2400-2500 rpm, showing true swing-and-miss potential. He’s continued to polish up his repertoire since we first saw him this past winter, and he’s a must-know name in Illinois’ rising junior class.

6/28/24

The 6-foot-2, 163-pound right-hander provided an upside look in his outing on Sunday morning. Ranked No. 48 in Illinois, Huff showed an easy and athletic delivery down the mound with a long, loose and clean arm path. His fastball sat 86-87 mph in the first inning, but he settled at 84-86 mph, touching 87 occasionally, and producing arm-side run on the pitch at times. He turned to a sharp slider often that sat 74-76 mph with quality spin (T2500), creating multiple swing-and-misses with the pitch. He’s an uncommitted arm-to-know heading into his junior year.

4/15/24

Uncommitted. Currently ranked No. 42 in Illinois’s sophomore class. Stands in a high-waisted, 6-foot-2, 162-pound frame. Threw one inning in relief for the Titans and showed well. Athletic mover with a clean arm path out of a high ¾ slot. His velocity is slowly ticking up, touching 87 mph with his fastball, but sitting mostly 83-86 mph. He mixed in a 71-73 mph curveball that flashed sharp sweep with quality spin, sitting mostly in the 2300-2400 rpm range, but topped out at 2509 rpm. Looks to be the next big arm out of Glenwood and is a must-know in the sophomore class.

3/16/24

Uncommitted. Projectable frame at 6-foot-2, 162.7-pounds with long levers, showing room for added strength. Three relief innings on the mound and struck out two. He’s an athletic and clean mover with a loose and easy arm path. His fastball sat 83-85 mph with life out of the hand, and he mixed in a sweeping breaking ball at 69-73 mph with 2300-2400 rpm. Huff will continue to get a more polished feel on the mound as he continues to grow and mature into his body. Another arm-to-know out of Glenwood.

2/17/24

RHP/OF Dylan Huff (Chatham Glenwood, 2026) emerged as a name to know in the 2026 class following his performance on Saturday. The 6-foot-2, 162-pound sophomore is a multi-sport athlete, playing both basketball and football at Glenwood. A smooth, low-effort mover down the mound, Huff at times looked like he was just playing catch during his ‘pen. His fastball worked in the 83-84 mph range (T84.9 mph) and he complimented it with two high-spin offerings. His curveball showed depth off an 11/5 plane, averaging 2400+ RPM, and his slider is the more presently advanced offering of the two - it’s sharp with late horizontal break at 70-72 mph, breaching 2400+ RPM at peak. At the plate, Huff controlled his long levers well and had a knack for elevated contact to the pull-side throughout his round. Huff appears to just be scratching the surface of his future ceiling on the hill, however, and looks to be yet another impact arm for a Glenwood program that’s grown accustomed to them.

2/17/24

Positional Profile: RHP/OF

CB: 69-71 mph. 11/5 shape with depth and action. Developing feel for the strike zone. T2436, 2412 average rpm.
SL: 70-72 mph. Similar shape to curveball, tighter spin at times. T2426, 2350 average rpm.
