5.20.16 - Indiana commit. Currently ranked No. 9 in the Illinois Class of 2016, No. 144 in the PBR Overall Ranks. 6-foot-2, 200-pound left-handed hitting outfielder with a strong frame. Offensively hits from a balanced setup with a slightly open stance and low hand set. Short leg lift stride with good balance throughout. Short, path with a fast bat. Advanced approach at the plate with good feel for the strike zone. Showed good instincts on the base paths. Strong accurate throws with carry from the outfield.

2.7.16 Super 60 - Indiana recruit. 6-foot-2, 200-pound frame, strong build, barrel-chested, defined lower half. Advanced left-handed hitting outfielder, swings with controlled aggression, gap-to-gap approach with burgeoning power potential. Quiet mechanics, small leg lift back, subtle hand load, excellent pre-swing rhythm, above-average bat speed, level path with natural lift, some effort in swing; recorded 95 mph exit velocity. Defensively, profiles as corner outfielder; confident, aggressive routes to the ball, fields ball in stride, high 3/4 slot, quick release, above-average carry, on-line and accurate; was clocked at 86 mph from the outfield.
6.23.15 - One of the top uncommitted prospects in the Midwest, Suwinski is a high-level left-handed hitter with burgeoning power. At  6-foot-2, 198 pounds, Suwinski has proportional strength, and he clearly knows what he is doing in the box. He has a relaxed, open approach with lower-set hands. His mechanics are quiet and simple and shows excellent rhythm in his swing. He has a calm, confident demeanor in the box – he tracks pitches well and seldom chases anything out of the zone. He showed the ability to drive the ball to both power alleys during BP and has advanced barrel awareness. He maintains balance throughout his swing and has easy pop in his bat. Defensively, Suwinski is best suited in right field, as he features a strong, accurate arm (89 mph) with natural outfield actions and instincts. He also ran a 7.08 60.

6.18.15 -Large frame, 6-foot-2, 200-pound two-way player. High level left-handed bat. Hits from an open stance, short stride, good balanced approach. Loose athletic hands, easy swing and pop, attacks the baseball, advanced bat speed, creates hard contact ball jumps off bat with ease. 95 mph exit velocity from the tee. Defensively projects at a corner spot, left-handed thrower, high ¾ arm slot, gets carry, 88 mph from the outfield. Shows the ability to play in stride, fluid footwork, exchange is quick to release. 7.06 runner in the 60. On the mound fastball touched 85 mph, sat 82-84 mph, fell for the fastball. Slider was the better of two breaking balls, 72-74 mph, sweeping action. Curveball showed more depth, 69-71 mph. Flashed good action on change, 70-74 mph.

5.9.15 - Currently ranked No. 13 in Illinois 2016 class, No. 159 overall; the top uncommitted junior in the Illinois. Proportionally strong 6-foot-2, 195-pound frame; legitimate two-way talent but his left-handed bat makes him a premium position player. Clearly knows what hes doing in the box. Simple approach, lower hand set, rhythmic load, quiet hands. Tracks pitches well, feel for the strike zone, patient approach. In game, finished 2-for-4 with a double and two runs. On his double, he sat back on soft breaking ball on outer half and drove it to left field. Also singled up the middle. Ran a 4.44 on groundout (7.20 laser-timed 60 at PBR event in winter). Also impressed on the bases, as he manufactured two runs with his headiness, including one in which he scored from second on a tapper to the first baseman in which the pitcher was slow to get to the bag. Defensively, projects as corner outfielder but has the arm strength to play right field (was clocked at 90 mph from outfield at PBR event). Didnt pitch in the game, but hes a mid-80s guy with more there.
2.16.15 - 6-foot-1, 190-pound, left-handed hitting outfielder. Athletic build. In the field has a long arm action from an over the top arm slot. Accurate throws with life and carry, quick instincts. Showed off his arm strength throwing 89 mph from the outfield. At the plate hits from a crouched, open stance, with a smooth load, and a short stride. Shows an explosive lower half with good bat speed. Line drive, gap-to-gap hitter, with a short, level swing path, and good extension. Showed strength with 87 mph exit velocity from a tee. Ran the 60 at 7.20.
2.15.15 - 6-foot-1, 190-pound athletic LHP/OF impressed on the mound at the Preseason All-State Showcase. Suwinksi is a legitimate two-way talent who impressed the following day at the Romeoville Preseason ID (due to previous commitments he did not take BP/Outfield at the Preseason) with his bat and outfield play. On the mound, fastball sat 82-85 mph from short, high ¾ arm slot, toe up at balance point, tall/fall delivery, smooth rhythm throughout, level shoulders in delivery, lands in line with home plate, closed front foot at foot strike, spinning off towards third base. Curveball sat 71-73 mph, but hard 77-79 mph cutter/slider impressed as best secondary offering. 74-78 mph changeup occasionally flashed plus sinking action. Suwinksi is currently ranked No. 21 in Illinios and is one of the top uncommitted prospects in Illinois’ 2016 class.
5/31/14 - Currently ranked No. 45 in Illinois’ 2016 class. Looks to be a true two-way prospect as a left-handed pitcher and left-handed hitting outfielder. Solid 6-foot, 170-pound frame, young for his age, still baby-faced, looks as though hasn’t begun to physically develop, which is an excellent sign because he has the physical tools. Suwinski was the lone bright spot for Taft in the Chicago Public League championship game against Morgan Park. On the mound, Suwinski operates from a high-3/4 slot, works slightly across his body, drop and drive delivery, good rhythm, tempo and overall mound presence for a sophomore. His fastball sat predominately at 82-83 mph, topping at 84, with natural cut action. In the fourth, his fastball ranged between 80-82. Missed consistently gloveside with fastball. Secondary stuff is still work in progress. Slows arm action on 73-74 curveball. Flashed a few changeups in the 75 mph range. In 4.1 innings, he walked six and allowed six hits. Offensively, showed extremely well at the plate. Finished 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles and two RBI, including a two-run shot to the left-center gap that tied the score at 4-4 in the fifth. Suwinski had three of Taft’s four hits in the game. Has a mature, relaxed approach; loose hands and quiet confidence in box. Allows ball to get deeper in zone; both his doubles went opposite field; also singled sharply to right field. Slightly open setup, lower hand set. Although his ticket will likely be on the mound, he shows advanced offensive capabilities. High-follow prospect.
