Southwestern Illinois JC commit. Lake Park collected four wins last week, with Slade picking up half of them on the mound. On Monday vs St. Charles East, he came into the game in relief and tossed three innings, allowing four hits, one walk, one run (unearned), and seven strikeouts. Later in the week vs Glenbard North on Saturday, Slade got the start and went five and a third, allowing six hits, two walks, three runs, while punching out 13 batters, amounting to 20 total strikeouts on the week.

Verbally committed to Southwestern Illinois JC.

Delivery: Stretch-only, high leg kick into a drop and drive lower half, works on-line to home.
Arm Action: LH. Full arm action into low 3/4 slot, loose.

At 6-foot, 185-pounds, Slade was effective in his outing Friday against Top Tier South. The southpaw sat 79-82 mph on his fastball, maintaining velocity throughout with a ¾ arm slot and a balanced delivery. Also threw a sweeping breaking ball at 68-69 mph for strikes. 

Uncommitted. Lake Park defeated Batavia by the score of 8-0. Slade started on the mound and struck out 14, walked one, and allowed three hits in the game.
