Northern Illinois commit. Stock is on the rise as of late and showed why in his first game at the Kickoff Classic. Led off for Marian Catholic and took four quality at-bats, finishing 3-for-4 with a double and run scored. Quick, strong hands, natural lift in his swing, pull approach and made consistent hard contact. Doubled to deep left-center field in his third at-bat, 4.75 on the turn. Also, reached on an infield single in his final at-bat, 4.36 down the line. Instincts and aggressive on the bases. Stole two bases and is always looking to push the envelope. Natural outfield actions, fluid footwork, concise routes, gets around the baseball and plays through. Should be able to stick in center field moving forward.

6.12.18 - Recent Northern Illinois commit. 6-foot-1, 180-pound, right-handed hitting outfielder, wiry, athletic frame. 6.99 runner in the 60. At the plate, confident hitter, athletic, tall setup, smooth load, short stride, maintains balance. Hands are loose and strong, gets separation, natural uphill bat path with extension through the zone, creates lift, showed hard contact to the pull side, occasionally long, rhythm involved. Above average bat speed, exit velocity topped 92 mph from a tee. Defensively, natural, easy actions, plays through the ball with agile footwork, soft hands, exchanges are quick and clean, long, loose arm action, high ¾ slot, throws carried at 87 mph from the outfield.

5.17.18 - Uncommitted junior. Currently ranked No. 54 in the Illinois’ 2019 class. 6-foot-1, 180-pound, right-handed hitting outfielder, strong, muscular frame, translates strength easily to the field. Played center and hit leadoff. Pulled a double down the line to leadoff the game. Also worked a 9-pitch at-bat resulting in a line drive single up the middle. Showed selective aggressiveness in the box and battled with two strikes. Short, simple stride/load, fluid level path, natural uphill lift early in the count, rhythm throughout. Smart aggressive base runner, stole a bag on a high fastball which shouldn’t have looked as easy it did. Effortless, long strides in the outfield, caught balls in rhythm. Throws flash carry and accuracy to his target. Follow 2019 outfielder.

5.2.18 - Uncommitted junior. Currently ranked No. 54 in the Illinois’ 2019 class. 6-foot-1, 180-pound, right-handed hitting outfielder, athletic frame, plays with bounce. Started in centerfield for Marian Catholic and chased down a fly ball in the gap, which was his only action on the rained-out game. Agile footwork, light on his feet, loose, effortless actions, clean high ¾ slot. Hit leadoff, balanced setup, smooth load and short stride. Present bat speed with aggressiveness in the box. Lined out hard to third base in his first at-bat. Also, laced an opposite field double to right on a hanging curveball. Kept his weight back and threw his hands at the ball showing a loose swing with feel for the barrel in the zone. 2019 outfielder to follow.

1.15.18 - 6-foot-1, 180-pound, muscular, athletically built, outfielder. Looked noticeably stronger since our last look. Ran an event-best laser-timed 60, 6.83. At the plate, hits from the right side, balanced, open setup, confident demeanor and pre-pitch rhythm. Leg lift timing trigger, aggressive swing, attacks the baseball, creates advanced bat speed, some effort while maintaining balance through contact. Path works uphill, gap-to-gap approach and 89 mph exit velocity from a tee. Defensively, arm works long, throws carry, accurate at times and topped at 83 mph. One of the top uncommitted outfielders in the 2019 class.

5.17.17 - 6-foot, 165-pound, right-handed hitting, outfielder, strong, athletic frame, muscular arms and legs.Offensively, open, upright stance, short stride. Short, quick swing with lift and makes consistent hard contact. Patient at the plate, did not chase out of the zone. Potential middle-of-the-order bat. In the outfield, currently has some raw tendencies but is athletic. Follow 2019 prospect.

10.23.16 - 6-foot, 165-pound, projectable build, long and lean, outfielder. Ran a 7.07 laser-timed 60. Right-handed hitter, with an advanced bat path; short, level path and gets extension through contact at times. Flashed bat speed and a gap-to-gap approach; 83 mph exit velocity from a tee. Balanced open setup, short stride and good balance through contact. Defensively, attacks the baseball, plays through at times and steady hands in the outfield. Long arm action, high ¾ slot and throws clocked at 77 mph.

6.8.16 - 5-foot-10, 160-pound outfielder, lean athletic frame, projectable body type. Right-handed hitter, open stance, short stride, gets to front side. Path is short, showed ability to backspin the baseball, line drive contact, easy above average bat speed. 83 mph exit velocity from the tee. 7.32 runner in the 60. Defensively showed above average actions in the outfield, showed feel and the ability to attack the baseball. Arm action is long, over the top arm slot, 75 mph on a crowhop. Strong follow in he 2019 class.
