Russell Oros (Downers Grove North, 2025) is another outfielder who has made big gains since our last look in 2022. He has grown an inch and gained 10 pounds since last August and has seen his average bat speed tick up five mph. He was on time and on the barrel throughout his round and the ball was jumping off the barrel at times; he registered a peak exit velocity of 94 mph which is up nine mph from last August. Uncommitted 2025 right-handed hitter trending in the right direction.

Defense: Deliberate through the ball, soft hands, easy glove to hand transfer.

Hit: RHH. Wide setup, quiet load and leg-kick trigger. Athletic swing, fast bat, stays on plane and repeatable. On the barrel, polished approach, hard contact to the middle of the field.
Power: 86 max exit velocity, averaged 79.9 mph. 295’ max distance.
Arm: RH. OF - 76 mph. Short over the top arm action, accurate, some life and carry.
Defense: Clean footwork, athletic movements, two hand fields out front.
Run: 7.55 runner in the 60.
