Missouri commit. 5-foot-11, 185-pound right-handed pitcher, strong athletic frame. Athletic delivery, repeats, stays on line and balance. Easy arm action, short draw 3/4 slot. Fastball plays with arm side run 88-89 early on, showed feel, mostly goes to glove side. Changeup showed plus action the first, 80 mph, swing-and-miss pitch. Went to slider more in the later innings, lateral action, 10/4 shape 74-76 mph, showed ability to get swing and miss. Also hits two-hole for Columbia.

3.14.18 - Missouri commit, currently ranked No. 32 in PBR Illinois’ Class of 2019. 5-foot-11, 175-pound athletically-built two-way prospect. Started the game on the mound, athletic, simple delivery, repeats with ease. Fastball sat 86-88 mph with run and life. Slider, 10/4 shape, sharp break, 81 mph. Changeup, maintains arm speed, 78-80. Pitched five innings, allowing one run on four hits with seven strikeouts. Took over defensively at second base after pitching. Offensively, right-handed hitter, smooth, balanced line-drive approach at the plate. Went 2-for-5 on the day including a triple that two-hopped the left field fence, recognized fastball middle-in, used a more uphill barrel path to elevate the ball while still maintaining a line drive approach. 4.52 home to first on a groundout to the third baseman.

2.11.18 - Missouri commit. 5-foot-11, 175-pound, two-way prospect with an athletic build and present strength. On the mound, right-handed pitcher, highly-athletic, simple, repeatable delivery with easy effort throughout. Works on-line, lands square and finishes athletically. Loose, quick arm action, high ¾ window and gets extension out front. Advanced three-pitch mix and pounded strikes with all three. Fastball comes out of hand easy, late life and run, pitches at the bottom of the strike zone; 85-86 mph, touched 87. Slider, maintains fastball arm speed, late, sharp 10/4 action, sat 79-80 mph. Changeup, maintains arm speed, feel, fade action, bottom of the zone, 79-80 mph. At the plate, right-handed hitter, balanced, wide setup, smooth load and knee knock stride. Stays within himself, line-drive approach and 89 mph exit velocity from a tee. Defensively, easy actions, reliable hands, loose arm action, ¾ slot and throws clocked at 84 mph across the diamond. 7.20 runner in the 60, laser-timed.

6/13/17 - Wilhelm is a 5-foot-11 170-pound right-handed hitting shortstop and right-handed pitcher in Illinois’ 2019 class.  He ran a 7.36 laser timed 60 and a 4.76 home to first.  He has a 90 mph exit velo. At the plate, consistent hard line drives gap to gap during batting practice, balanced set up, short stride, quick hands with aggressive swing, squared up ball with bat speed.  On the infield, advanced actions, high three quarters release, long arm circle, athletic footwork to the ball, soft hands with quick release, accurate throws. Singled to right field in game action. On the mound, Wilhelm has a compact delivery, repeats well, over the top release, quick arm speed, athletic and aggressive down the mound, throws a heavy fastball at 82-85 mph, works both sides of plate and bottom of the zone, curveball has late and sharp 11-to-5 shape, 70-74 mph, showed feel for off speed pitches.
