MIF Shemar Harris (Thornwood, 2023) created some intrigue among our scouting staff after his strong showing on Saturday. The 6-foot, 180-pound prospect has seen his frame tick up over the past year and his entire game has risen as a result. The right-handed hitter possesses quick/strong hands that stay short to the baseball, maintaining a consistent rhythm while using the middle of the field with some bat strength (90 mph max exit velocity). He also showcased a strong arm on the infield, reaching 85 mph across the diamond with carry.
Positional Profile: SS/2B
Body: 6-0, 180-pounds. Highly athletic frame with developing strength.
Hit: RHH. Balanced setup. Transitions weight into back leg before moving into a long, gliding stride. Quick, strong hands. Stays short to the baseball. Present rhythm and uses the middle of the field.
Power: 90.2 max exit velocity, averaged 78.3 mph. 315’ max distance.
Arm: RH. INF - 85 mph. Short, high 3/4 slot. Plays with carry.
Defense: Two-handed gather out front. Keeps the ball in front to both sides.
Run: 7.42 runner in the 60.

Body: 5-foot-9, 150-pounds. Slim, athletic build.
Hit: RHH. Tall balanced set-up, short stride, hands start high. Short, level bat path, stays on top of the baseball, uses middle of the field.
Power: 76 mph exit velocity from the tee.
Arm: RH. INF - 74 mph. Long arm action, over the top to high 3/4 slot.
Defense: Fields with tempo, soft hands, presents glove early. Showed range on backhand play.
Run: 7.72 runner in the 60.
Positional Profile: SS/2B
Body: 5-foot-7, 130-pounds. Athletic build, projectibile frame.
Defense: Fluid footwork, clean exchange, athletic infield actions, controls body well for age.
Arm: RH. INF - 69 mph. Short arm action, over the top slot, accurate throws across the infield, occasional carry.
Hit: RHH. Tall, balanced setup, short stride, solid balance. Simple swing, level path, stays inside the baseball, fluid rhythm, line-drive approach.
Power: 73 mph exit velocity from the tee.
Run: 7.83 runner in the 60.
