Parkland Scout Day: Six-foot, strong built righty with high-spin, cutting fastball up to 89. High 3/4 slot. Sat 86-88. Short and sharp at times 80-81 mph slider, released from same slot as FB. Limited feel for third pitch; below avg 74-77 mph curve. Worked exclusively out of stretch from 1B side of the rubber. Quick-paced delivery with high knee lift. Clean arm action. Worked down the mound with average extension out front.
12.19.18 - Verbally committed to Parkland JC.
6.12.18 - 6-foot, 180-pound, athletic, strong frame, lower half and shoulders continue to broaden, right-handed pitcher. Ultra fast tempo, smooth rhythm, drop and drive delivery works on-line, lands toe open, finishes athletically. Short, loose arm action, short stab on back-side, arm works quickly to get out front. Fastball, late run action, thrown with intent, kept in zone, sat 85-87. Curveball, maintains arm speed, 11/5 shape, sharp action, located low in the zone, 70-71. Splitter, maintains slot and speed, tumble action, 76-80.
5.7.18 - 6-foot, 180-pound, lanky, athletic right-handed pitcher. Works from a high ¾ slot, quick arm speed, easy effort. Athletic, drop and drive delivery, high leg-kick, lands open, finishes crossing over. Fastball, manipulated, glove-side cut at-times, armside run, 82-84, touched 86. Curveball, 11/5 shape, immediate feel to glove-side, thrown hard, 75-78. Picked up the W against Cary-Grove, tossing five innings, allowing four runs, two earned, four hits, two walks and four strikeouts.
2.19.18 - 6-foot, 180 pound, long limbed, athletic right handed pitching prospect. Drop and drive delivery, quick tempo, rocker step load, athletic balance point, directionally in line, square landing, athletic finish. Loose arm action, quick out front, high ¾ arm slot, regular effort throughout. Fastball, straight, occasional run, ranged 80-84 mph. Curveball, 12/6 shape, gradual break, 68-71 mph. Changeup showed sink, ranged 73-76 mph. Cutter, acted more as a slider, some depth, 10/4 break, ranged 72-75 mph.
6.7.17 - 5-foot-11, 180-pound right-handed pitcher with an athletic, wide shouldered frame. On the mound works from a high ¾ arm angle with a short, quick arm action. Drop and drive delivery with a closed landing and long stride. Falls off on release. Fastball was straight at 79-81 topping out at 82 mph for strikes. Curveball has 10-4 shape at 66-70 mph. Changeup sat 68-70mph. Splitter sat 65-66 mph.
