INF/OF Zach Rubin (Antioch, 2026) should be a name to follow from the event. He was a consistent performer in gameplay, finishing 2-for-6 with a double, run scored and two walks. Consistently attacked pitches in the zone while staying on time, sent 88 mph right back up the middle for a loud single. Athletic hands with a fluid path that creates length out front. 6.80 runner to pair.

Currently ranked No. 54 in Illinois, INF Zach Rubin (Antioch, 2026) had yet another strong showing in front of our staff. Projectable build at 5-foot-10, 170-pounds, the right-handed hitter has loose hands with a flat path, looking to stay on top of the baseball, consistently working on the barrel up the middle of the field and the other way - working on the sweet spot 70% of the time per TrackMan. Athletic defender on the infield with soft hands, moves well laterally. Athletic runner, recording a 6.86 in the 60 with a max run speed of 20.2 mph.

8/08/23

SS/OF Zach Rubin (Antoch, 2026) is an exciting young prospect that paired an impressive workout with a strong in-game performance. 6/10/22

Rubin had himself a day for Lake County Lightning in their first game of the PBR at The Rock Summer Championships. From the RH batters box, Rubin sets up stiff with hand wiggle to a slight leg lift trigger. Rubin is an aggressive hitter, hunting fastballs early into the count throughout Thursday afternoon. While on the infield dirt, Rubin is a reliable up-the-middle defender as his athleticism allows him to cover a lot of ground.
