The frame is trending in the right direction, standing in at 5-foot-9, 160-pounds, still holding plenty of room to add more strength. The left-handed hitter showed a fluid and flat swing with length through the zone in his round, staying controlled and balanced through impact with some loud results, elevating the baseball with a peak EV of 97 mph (T347’). + Another young left-handed hitting catcher to note from the day is Hunter Lockefeer (St. Viator, 2028). Lockefeer showed fluid actions all weekend. At the plate, the left-handed hitter has a simple setup with rhythm and a quality approach. Defensively, the catcher showed strong hands that work to present pitches for strikes. Lockefeer also showed a strong arm behind the plate which kept baserunners in check throughout the tournament. Overall, the rising freshman showed maturity and baseball IQ throughout the weekend.
