Xavier may be the toolsiest player that I have seen in my time with Prep Baseball, posting eye-popping measurables at the All-State. A primary arm headed to Indiana University, Carrera worked his fastball at 94-95, touching 95.5 mph, the firmest heater of the event. The uber-athletic, 6-foot-3, 200 pound right-hander has electric arm action, but was inconsistent in the zone with the heater. Carrera struggled to get his slider near the zone, with his overall command being spotty at best, but the arm talent is second-to-none in terms of Indiana 2025s. Despite being recruited as an arm, Carrera also posted the top exit velocity of the event at 105.5 mph, speaking volumes to the athleticism and rotational capabilities that he possesses.

Body: 6-2, 185-pounds. Athletic, projectable build
Hit: RHH. Wide, athletic stance. Hands start near the middle of the body & work back to the back shoulder as he makes a short stride forward. Tends to land hard on the front foot. Loose, level swing with big bat speed.
Power: 98 max exit velocity, averaged 88 mph. 383' max distance.
Arm: RH. INF-92 mph.Electric arm action. Long, loose, and whippy from a 3/4 slot
Defense: Quick, fluid feet. Long strides allow for range. Sure handed with a clean exchange. Shows some body control.
Run: 6.90 runner in the 60.

Body: 6-2, 185-pounds. Athletic, projectable build
Delivery: Athletic delivery, some rawness w/ major untapped potential. Gets to a taller balance point and makes an athletic move down the slope. Recoil-type finish.
Arm Action: RH. Long, loose, and whippy from a 3/4 slot. Big-time arm talent.
FB: T90, 87-89 mph. Inconsistent command but shows life when synced, some ASR T2178, 1976 average rpm.
CB: 68-68 mph. T1678, 1678 average rpm.
SL: 74-76 mph. Tight, sweeping action T1704, 1635 average rpm.
CH: 78-78 mph. T1980, 1856 average rpm.

Position: SS/RHP

Body: 6-foot, 163-pound lean projectable build.

Hit: (RHH) Setup includes a balanced stance and a controlled stride. Good extension on his finish, uphill swing. Up the middle approach.

Power: 84 mph exit velocity, average 73.93 mph.

Defense:  (IF) Sure hands, rhythmic fluid footwork, clean exchange.

Arm: 75 mph infield velocity. Quick arm action, low ¾ slot.

Speed: 8.27 (60-yard).

Pitching: Projectable. Feel delivery, easy effort. Low ¾ arm angle, some arm speed. Consistent balance point, a clean finish.

FB: T77. 76-77 mph. (Max spin 2003;  Avg 1923). Running action.

 

SL: 63-71 mph. 10/4 movement. (Max spin 1931; Avg 1844).
