2015 All-Central Plains League - 1st Team

8/17/14 - Garner is an athletic 5-foot-11, 160-pound left-hand hitting outfielder.  Hits from slight crouch, wide inline stance, leg kick stride, short bat path, short finish, strong hands, generates bat speed, middle-oppo line drive approach.  87 mph exit velocity, third best mark at the event.  Ran 4.18 home to first base, best time at camp.  Quick feet in the outfield, long three-quarters arm action, some effort, throws had carry, 83 mph throwing velocity.  Fast-twitch left-hand hitting outfielder with strength.
8/6/14 - Garner is an athletic 5-foot-11, 160-pound left-hand hitting outfielder.  At the plate has a balanced set-up, slightly open stance, leg kick, strides inline, drops hands in load, short bat path, oppo approach.  82 exit velocity.  Impressive strength for slender-framed athlete.  4.13 home to first base, fastest time at the event.  Showed quick feet and clean exchanges in the outfield.  Long, uphill throwing motion, three-quarters slot, throwing velocity 80 mph.
6/9/14 - Garner is a thin, athletic 5-foot-11, 155-pound left-hand hitting class of 2015 outfielder from Bluestem HS that also catches.  During hitting evaluations he showed a tall set-up, slightly closed stance with high hands.  Garner uses a mini-leg kick inline stride and minimal hand load.  He showed some bat speed and a short bat path.  He has a middle-oppo, line-drive approach ideal for a top of the order hitter with speed.  Garner recorded an 81 mph exit velocity high.  In the outfield defensive evaluations he showed quick feet, clean exchanges and a long, slinging three-quarters throwing motion.  His top throw was clocked at 81 mph.  Garner ran a 4.16 home-to-1B from the left side (the top mark in camp) and also ran a 7.03 60-yard dash time.
