4/7/15 - Uncommitted class of 2016 prospect. Physical 6-foot, 205-pound corner outfielder and first baseman. Throws left, bats right. Moved well in the outfield for his size and can swing it. Stays tall and balanced, strong upper half, bat speed with strength at the point on contact. Hits fifth in the order for the No. 1 team in the state and went 3-for-3 today with a double and RBI.
2/16/15 - Chalabi is a 6-foot, 200-pound first baseman and outfielder that attends St. Thomas Aquinas HS in Overland Park, KS. Class of 2016. Right-handed hitter, tall set-up, smooth load. Short, soft stride. Uses strong upper half to generate bat speed, has some lift to swing, slight pull approach. Exit velocity clocked at 94 mph, ran a 4.31 home-to-first. Left-handed thrower. At first base fielded the ball cleanly and made all accurate throws with short three-quarters arm action, throwing velocity 70 mph. During outfield drill work attacked the ball, clean exchanges, short high-three-quarters slot, 76 mph throwing velocity, accurate throws. Right-hand hitting corner guy with strength and bat speed.
8/17/14 - Chalabi is a physical 6-foot, 200-pound right-hand hitting first baseman. Balanced set-up, closed stance, backward load, strides slightly closed, strong hands, bat speed, aggressive swing, maintains balance throughout, camp best 92 mph exit velocity. 4.55 home to first base, 7.16 60-yard dash. In the outfield showed clean exchanges, short three-quarters arm action, 77 mph throwing velocity, very accurate throws. At first base, fielded everything cleanly, low three quarters arm action, 76 mph throwing velocity, all accurate throws. Strong right-hand hitter with bat speed.
6/18/14 - Chalabi is a 6-foot, 200-pound left-handed pitcher. He has a simple, deliberate delivery, closes off at balance hiding the ball well and throws from a three-quarters slot. His fastball velocity was in the 67-69 mph range and he showed a 52-53 breaking ball. In the game he retired all four hitters he faced in order in 14 total pitches.

During defensive evaluations he showed average footwork, made clean exchanges and had a top throwing velocity of 71 mph from a three-quarters arm slot.
