8/4/18 - Callahan has projection in athleticism and ability. Standing 6-foot-3 175-pounds, Callahan has a leveraged swing from the left side with an 88 mph exit velocity.  During the workout, he had gap to gap strength and had no problem finding the barrell.  He manages the bat well with hands and look for increased power as starts to use his lower half levers. On the infield, Callahan has smooth action with a high three quarters release.  He moves well and has soft hands, he had a positional velocity at 84 mph.
6/5/18 - Callahan is a long limbed 6-foot-3 175-pound right-handed pitcher and right-handed hitting shortstop in Kansas’ 2020 class. On the mound, Callahan has a simple and repeatable delivery, strike thrower with two pitches, high three quarters arm slot, smooth tempo throwing with regular effort, fastball at 80-81 mph, slight late run, breaking ball has 11-to-5 shape, early action, 63-64 mph, lands for a strike, long and lean frame with arm action would suggest increases with continued development. He ran a 7.13 60 and a 4.40 home to first.  He has a 90 mph exit velocity. At the plate, starts with open stance, fluid pre swing rhythm in hands, hands load with leg kick and in line stride, loose hand with quick bat speed, swing produced consistent hard line drives to the middle and pull side of the field during hitting evals.  On the infield, 80 mph positional velocity, over the top arm slot, long arm circle, arm works, fluid and controlled movement to the ball, field ball in athletic position with clean transfer, mostly accurate throws.

2/16/18 - Callahan is a 6-foot-3 170-pound left-handed hitting shortstop and right-handed pitcher in Kansas’ 2020 class.  He ran a 4.06 home to first and has an 85 mph exit velocity. At the plate, start in an open stance, some hand load, smooth rhythm with toe tap and in line stride, loose hand with level path through extension, gap to gap line drives, consistent hard contact.  On the infield, 83 mph positional velocity, soft hands and athletic actions, hands and feet work in sync, feet creates momentum to throw, clean exchanges with high three quarters release, accurate throws. On the mound, Callahan stays in control and throws with regular effort, has a high three quarters arm slot, slides foot across the rubber in wind up, works from the 1B side, throws high percentage of strikes with three pitches, fastball was 79-82 mph, breaking ball has 11-to-5 shape, throws for a strike, change up at 71-73 mph, slight sinking action, throws with near fastball arm speed.
