6/27/17 - Koval has a large frame a 6-foot-3 and 185 pounds and is a right-handed hitting outfielder in Kansas’ 2018 class. He ran a 6.98 laser timed 60 and a 4.66 home-to-first. Koval’s exit velo was 92 mph which made him one of the top performers in that category. During batting practice, Koval shows a wider but athletic stance that is slightly open, pop to his pull side, simple delivery and balance throughout his swing. From the outfield, Koval made mostly accurate throws while topping out at 85 mph, with carry on the baseball. In addition to a plus arm, he showed good actions and attacked the baseball.

5/31/16 - Koval is a projectable 6-foot-2 170-pound right-handed hitting outfielder in Kansas’ 2018 class.  He ran a 6.94 60, one of the top for the event, and a 4.88 home-to-first.  He has an 88 mph exit velo, one of top RHH velos. At the plate, has feel for the barrel, consistent solid contact gap-to-gap during batting practice, athletic stance, smooth load, short to contact, controlled body, doubled down the left field line in game action.  In the outfield, 82 mph positional velo, one of the top among outfielders, high three quarters release, catching ball in position to throw, aggressive to ball, plays through the catch, athletic actions.

6/1/15 - Ryan is 6' 145-pound right hand hitting short stop and outfielder from Olathe South. In the outfield took good defensive reps, attacking the ball and showed a loose arm and over the top throwing motion, with aggressive and clean exchanges with mostly accurate throws with a top velo of 78 mph.A good runner w posting a 7.19 60/yd and gets out  of the box from the right side with a home to first of 4.47.Uses a long simple swing that starts with a slightly open stance with some loft that produced two deep fly balls to the middle of the field with carry.
