A fastball with hop has a flat approach angle and visually jumps through the zone. When thrown up in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher swing and miss average. Hop+ of 100 is MLB average.
Fastball
Sink+
A fastball with sink has low backspin and drops through the strike zone. When thrown down in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher ground ball percentage and lower launch angle. Sink+ of 100 is MLB average.
Fastball
Rise+
A fastball with rise has a high percentage of backspin. When thrown up in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher fly ball percentage. Rise+ of 100 is MLB average
Slider
Hammer+
A hammer breaking ball drops vertically with velocity through the zone, or 12-to-6 movement. Hammer+ of 100 is MLB average.
Slider
Sweep+
A sweeping breaking ball moves horizontally with velocity through the zone. Sweep+ of 100 is MLB average.

The highest Edge Score within the given year. Edge Score is a comprehensive score that takes the core-six visual skills into account, providing an assessment of an athlete’s overall visual ability.
The maximum speed, in the direction of home plate, that the wrist is traveling. Measured in meters per second (m/s)
Arm Slot
Angle of the forearm relative to the ground between maximum external rotation (MER) and ball release (BR). Which can be a powerful player comparison metric, delivered in degrees.
Knee Extension Velo
The angular velocity of the front knee straightening after foot plant, which provides indicators of velocity potential. Measured in degrees per second.
Deception
The amount of time that the ball is visible to the hitter, after the instant of front foot strike. Measures in milliseconds.
Hip-Shoulder Separation
The difference in angle of between the hips and shoulders, occurring close to the foot plant. Measured in degrees.
Physical: 6-0, 190 pounds; Athletic, sturdy build. Pitching: Uses a glove side setup working primarily from the stretch. Mid chest leg drive with a slight lean over the belt. Has a long stride landing inline with the plate. Moderate arm swing while showing no restrictions; standard 3/4 slot. Spins off 1B side with finish. FB: Peak velo of 87 MPH, while sitting 84-87 MPH; life through the zone with arm side run. SL: 77-79 MPH; plus pitch; can land for strikes and expand for swing and miss. CH: 80 MPH; fading action.
6/27/22
Physical: 5-foot-11, 190 pounds; Athletic, broad shouldered build. 7.12 runner in the 60. Offensively: RHH. Even setup, with feet just outside his shoulders; flat bat to start. Loads straight back with an up and down stride for timing. Slides weight forward pre-contact. while showing an average effort from the legs. Showed a flat swing path with a high finish. More line drives than flyballs and groundballs with a peak exit velocity of 85 MPH via Trackman. Defensively: Starts with an upright /tall setup; uses prep step while showing active feet. Hands work through the ball with a seamless transfer. Moderate arm circle from a standard 3/4 arm slot. OF - 91 MPH. Pitching: Uses a glove side setup while using a side step. Belt high leg drive with shoulders above the hips. Has a moderate stride while landing slightly closed. Moderate arm swing while showing effortless and fluid actions; standard 3/4 slot. Spins off 1B side with finish. FB: Peak velo of 85 MPH, while sitting 83-85 MPH; . SL: 73-76 MPH. CH: 77-78 MPH.
6/28/21
Physical: Compact, athletic 5-foot-11, 155lb frame with room to add strength. 7.35 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH - Upright, even stance as the hands showed quick rhythm by the head to start. Utilized a leg lift stride to initiate a flat, rotational path into the hitting zone, working into a stiff front side. Posted a strong 42% line drive rate with ability to match pitch-plane out of the hand; really stayed on top of pitches above the belt, depositing barrels from gap to gap with a good feel for the strike zone. Notched a T87 mph bat-exit velocity and recorded a 246 foot batted ball distance suggesting singles power at the moment; more juice coming.
Defensively: The outfielder featured adequate footwork, arriving on time with the chest over toes; average pace and a smooth transition in/out of the glove releasing from a quicker, separated H slot (71 mph arm strength).
Pitching: RHP - The righty started off the far left side of the rubber with a repeatable operation; got to a balanced stack and worked directional into footsrike using athletic movements down the slope. Released from a H slot and landed strikes at 81-83 mph on the FB (2000+ rpms). Mixed a short, tight 73-76 mph SL that was commanded at a 78% zone rate via Trackman, able to keep hitters deceptively in between speeds. Then added a developing 74-76 mph CH with killed spin.
