Arizona recruit. It’s impossible not to like the raw tools that Neville brings to the yard. He’s a specimen at 6-foot-3, 190-pounds with the ability to run a 6.58 60-yard dash along with 104 mph exit velocities at the plate. A premier athlete in the 2022 class, Neville’s power potential was on full display in batting practice as he made the yard look small at times while still demonstrating an ability to utilize the whole field to produce firm contact. He remains well-connected throughout the pursuit with the hands working down and back before slightly wrapping the barrel into a power position with eye-opening bat speed through the zone. Neville gains momentum through impact while hitting into the front side with impressive rotational acceleration. His combination of speed, power, and athleticism shows up at the plate, and there is some ability present to change plains against high-level arms. There is still plenty of room to add strength to a frame that is high-waisted and twitchy, and given his potential to stick in centerfield, he is a high priority prospect to follow looking towards 2022.

5/19/19

Projectable, 6-foot-2 175, Neville has an athletic build with long levers.  His athleticism provides him the ability to profile as a corner outfielder or first baseman. In the outfield, he has capable outfield actions with enough underway speed and arm strength to play all three outfield spots.  Future growth and development likely make a move to the corners eminent.  At the plate, he has stands upright with a rhythmic and naturally lofted swing that provides projectable power. He made consistent hard contact and his pull side power was evident as he drove several balls out of the park during his BP session.

Neville looks the part with a long-loose 3/4 arm action. His fastball sat comfortably 83-84, topping out at 86. He has consistent arm side life with solid shape and depth to a mid 60s breaking ball. He had feel for a changeup, 74.  Neville showed area control and throwing directly in to a stiff wind, it is easy to see him as a mid to upper 80s guy, maybe more in the near future.  A legit two-way guy at this point, Neville will not be uncommitted for long.
