Physical: 6-foot-3, 175 pounds; long, lean frame.
Offensively: LHH. Wide stance with an upright bat; short take back of the hands with a long small leg kick. Aggressive lower half with direct swing path with quick hands. Middle to opposite field approach; peak Trackman exit velocity of 88 MPH.
Defensively: Low the ground setup; long strides, laid back approach, clean footwork. Seamless transfer; standard 3/4 arm slot. INF - 84 MPH.
Pitching: Center rubber setup out of the stretch; up-tempo, herky-jerky delivery, knee to chest leg lift with slight turn, even stride with downhill finish, max effort release. Long, clean arm action with standard 3/4 arm slot. FB: Peak velo of 82 MPH, while sitting 79-82 MPH. Plays pretty true, some arm side movement, jumps out of the hand. CB: 67-69 MPH. 1-7 rotation, good vertical break with sweep as well. CH: 77-78 MPH.


Physical: 6-foot-3, 175-pounds. Solid frame; physical; potential for more weight.
Run: 7.38 runner in the 60.
Hit: LHH. Wide stance; good use of lower half; short leg kick into a low stride; quick hands; high one-handed finish Upward swing path; hard, consistent contact up middle; solid line drives.
Power: 90 MPH raw exit velocity. shows power potential to pull side.
Defense: Glove pat with ball for timing; slow footwork when approaching ball then explodes during throw and gets his entire body behind; solid glovework and really looks the ball in.
Arm: Smooth 3/4 arm slot; long arm swing. INF - 86 MPH.

Pitching Delivery: Up tempo with a high leg lift building momentum, works in line accelerating hand speed through release.
Arm Action: Long, clean arm swing; builds arm speed to a high 3/4 slot.
FB: T83, 81-83 MPH. Downhill plane, commanded in the zone.
CB: 69-70 MPH. 12-6, late sharp break.


A projectable wiry 6-foot-2,160 pounds. Pitching- The LHP displayed a repeatable delivery and a projectable live arm. Works mainly from the right side of the rubber. Delivery has some tempo. Keeps the front side closed. A high knee lift . Arm is loose and live and throws from a high ¾ arm slot.  Showed good FB command peaking at 84 MPH. FB ranged from 81-83 MPH. Showed feel for a CH at 73-74 MPH. The 2022 graduate is a must follow.


A lean 6-foot-1, 160 pounds projectable frame. Ran a 3.36 in the home to 1B. Offensively- the left handed hitter stands in the box in a tall stance. Short simple load before attacking the baseball. Throws his hands into the hitting zone with a flat bat path. Hard consistent contact during the hitting portion. Stays balanced throughout the swing.  Gets full extension after contact. Top exit velocity was 88 MPH. Defensively- showed solid actions at 1B. Sits back when fielding the baseball. Gets in a wide low base. Smooth funnel action. Displayed a strong long arm action on throws across the infield. Top throwing velocity was 80 MPH. Pitching- the left handed pitcher displayed a live loose arm with repeatable mechanics during the bullpen session. Pitches with tempo and finishes with intent. Long loose arm action from a balanced backside. Uses a high knee lift, smooth hand separation. FB has late life and peaked at 79 MPH. The CB is sharp down in the zone. CB ranged from 64-67 MPH. CH has late fade down in the zone and ranged from 70-72 MPH. The 2022 graduate is a must follow.

Rising Stars (February 11, 2018)

Lanzer is a 5-foot-10 135-pound left handed pitcher and first baseman. Tall lanky frame. Ran an 8.14 60 and a 4.65 home-to-1B from the left side. Offensively- Stands with legs shoulder width apart, knees slightly bent. Simple pick up and put down of front leg, hands high near the head. Quiet load of the hands; Out on the front foot at times but yet able to stay in the zone; 72 MPH exit velocity. Defensively- Moves well for his size and age; active pre-pitch and agile with first step. Quick transfer from glove to hand allows for a fast release; fields ball out in front of body. Pitching- Starts with feet spread apart on rubber, facing catcher. Steps off to the side of the rubber, knee comes up slightly past the belt. Drives down the mound well, throws with high 3/4 arm slot. Up-tempo delivery; uses lower half well. Fastball sits 71-73 MPH. Slows down motion when throwing off-speed pitches. Change up was 61-64 MPH.  Overall a solid foundation as a dual player.
