Lucas Day: 1B/LHP, (2022) Troy Christian, OH. 6-foot-1, 195-pound physical frame. At the plate, Day's 94 mph exit velocity ranks him 3rd at the event. Starts in a tall open stance with a smooth quick load, then uses a leg kick. Bat speed is quick and exhibits an an inside-out swing plane. Solid in the infield, his best throw was recorded at 72 mph; shows sure hands, consistent feet, and a clean developing exchange. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were average.

Hit: Left-handed hitter that starts in a tall, slightly open setup. Smooth mover with feel for his movement patterns. Balanced launch with an efficient path. High level combination of strength and feel for contact. Hit tool shows up as always.
Power: Legit power for class.
Offensive Projection: Prototype middle of lineup
Max BP Exit Velocity: 94 mph
Max BP Distance: 357 ft
Field: First baseman frame and skill set. Bat is top tool but he continues to improve over there.
Throw: More than enough strength for the position.
Defensive Projection: 1B.

2/9/20 Position Player
Hit: At the plate Day uses a leg kick load and somewhat swings his hips open with his front leg. Shows a somewhat uphill approach and casts his barrel at times causing pull tendencies.
Power: 86 mph exit velocity.
Offensive Projection: Shows some physicality in the swing and should be able to develop into a power threat of some degree.
Field: In the field shows adequate feet and instincts around the bag. A bit two handed at times.
Throw: 76 mph across the diamond.
Defensive Projection: 1B

Body Type:  6-foot, 195-pound physical frame.
Swing Mechanics:  Athletic movements that sync well.
Hit:  Explosive swing with effortless pop. Ball looks different off the bat. All fields hitter with a bit extra jump to pull.
Power:  Some of the top raw power we’ve seen in his class.
Offensive Projection:  Middle of the lineup guy.
Field: First baseman with feel for the position. Looks comfortable over there
Throw: 70 mph arm strength across the diamond.
Defensive Projection: 1B.

Body Type: 6-foot, 195-pound physical frame.
Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Slower paced tempo to a delivery that doesn’t require much effort. High-¾ left-hander with a clean arm.
Fastball:  74-76 mph. Mostly true. A bit of a cross-fire guy that creates a tough angle on hitters. More velocity to come.
Curveball:  63-66 mph. Above average offering. Slurvish look to it with sharp action.
Changeup: 68-70 mph. Good feel for the offering that has a fastball look out of the hand.
Pitchability: Nice three-pitch mix that was consistently in the zone.

Swing Mechanics: Open, balanced stance in the box for this lefty that produces a leg kick as he loads followed by a level swing path.
Hit: Average contact made throughout his round showing signs of life in his barrel. Sent most of his harder contact to the opposite field.
Power: 83 mph exit velocity.
Offensive Projection: TBD for now.
Run: 8.1 60-yard.
Field: Gets off the bag well over at first base as he goes to field it showing nice ability with his glovework. Footwork is progressing in quickness too. More to come from him defensively.
Throw: 73 ph across the diamond.
Defensive Projection: First base.

One of the top hit tools in the class. Lefty swinger that first stood out for Bo Jackson Elite playing up a year and looking unbothered by high velocity arms. Very efficient upper half that creates early bat speed, giving barrel a running start through the zone. Ball comes off well, offering present gap pop with emerging power to pull side. Solid defender over at first base with fluid actions and feel for the spot. Bat is by far top tool but glove is also solid.

6-foot, 205 pound left handed pitching prospect with a big, physical frame throws from a ¾ arm slot producing an even tempo throughout his delivery. Provides nice intent behind his actions and mechanics were average. Fastball sat 71-73 mph while topping out at 74 mph. His curveball was 58-60 mph with nice break and command. Changeup sat 57-58 with glove side run and kept it low. Two-way prospect. Really like what I saw at the plate. The lefty shows athletic movements prior to launch and a nice smooth stroke through the zone. Loft in path allows him to lift the ball naturally. Middle of the lineup type bat. At first base he moves well around the bag with obvious feel for the spot. Glove is a well above average tool. Transfer is clean and smooth. Solid defender.

60-yard dash: 8.56
Infield Velocity: 75
Exit Velocity: 79

6-foot, 200 pound first basemen with a sturdy frame showed nice hands defensively fielding it well. Would be aided by getting glove down sooner and coming through the ball. Feet moved efficiently for his size in getting off the bag. Still developing in quickness and agility. Throwing velocity across the diamond was 68 mph. A fluid swinger from the left side. Goes with a double tap for timing as barrel moves through a bat tip load. Impressive feel for class inside his line drive swing. Hands are loose generating natural whip through the zone with above average strength to his hands at contact. More of a base hit threat presently but also flashed some gap abilities. On the mound the southpaw has a fluent delivery. Throws from a ¾ arm slot. Body stays in line to home plate through release. Mechanically sound for his age. Fastball stays downhill through the mitt with some arm side run at 71-73 mph. Curveball breaks on a 1-7 tilt with gradual break coming in at 56-58 mph. Mixes in a changeup as well at 58-60 mph. Offering is thrown with similar arm speed to his fastball. Shows slight drop at times. Command is still developing.

60-yard dash: 8.38
Infield Velocity: 68
Exit Velocity: 82

On the mound the southpaw has an uptempo delivery that requires little effort. Lower half is efficient, landing slightly closed at foot strike. Arm has some quickness to it, and arm action is clean. Works through a high-3/4 slot with his fastball sitting 69-72 mph. His changeup was his best secondary offering. Has solid feel for the pitch that had some fade to it at 58-59 mph. Spins a 1/7 shaped breaking ball that had some sharpness to it at 59-62 mph. The pitch shows signs of swing and miss as he continues to develop feel for it. Would like to see him maintain arm speed on his secondary offerings. In the outfield he plays under control getting to the baseball. Fields the ball nicely, on his glove foot side. Would be aided by maintaining more momentum into his throws. Threw with accuracy and above average arm strength to home plate. At the plate he stays very fluid throughout his loading sequence, incorporating a bat tip and double tap. Path is level with solid barrel whip through the zone. Barrel gets on plane early, giving him a large margin for error in timing. Strength and bat speed are both above average tools. Ball came off his bat well in batting practice, showing gap to gap pop.

60-yard dash: 8.81
Outfield Velocity: 71
Exit Velocity: 82

5-foot-9, 175-pound prospect. Defensively, he shows average footwork around the bag. Will be aided by playing more on his toes. Throws through ¾ to high ¾ slot with short arm action. Had accuracy to his throws. At the plate he starts in a balanced setup prior to his double tap load and stride. His vertical barrel placement gives him added whip through the zone. Works on a slightly downhill path with quickness to his pat. Was at his best when he worked to the middle fo the field. On the mound, the young left handed pitcher throws through a ¾ slot with quick arm speed. Smooth delivery. Fastball sits between 65-70 mph. Breaking ball works gradually through a 1/7 plane at 57-58 mph. Also mixes in a 58-60 mph changeup thrown with near fastball arm speed.

60 Yard Dash: 8.84
Position Velocity: 67
Exit Velocity: 70
