Body: Lean, developing 5-foot-9, 138-pound frame with room to add strength.
Hit: LHH. Narrow, open stance with active hands. Quick leg lift load and short stride into slight uphill, rotational swing. Mid/pull approach with consistent line-drive contact.
Power: 78 mph exit velocity from the tee and 81 in BP.
Arm: LH. OF - 71 mph. Short arm action from high-¾ release. Shows some accuracy.
Defense: Athletic first step in the outfield with quick footwork and soft glove. Clean exchanges.
Run: 7.15 runner in the 60.
Delivery: Up-tempo rocker-step delivery. Consistent, athletic balance point with square shoulders and lands in-line with home.
Arm Action: Long, low effort release from a ¾ slot.
FB: 68-72 mph, solid arm-side run for strikes.
CB: 57-59 mph, gradual 1/7 shape with some feel.
CH: 62-69 mph, solid fade and sink action low in the zone.
Julius Ejike-Charles: LHP/OF, (2024) Heritage Hall, OK. 5-foot-5, 120-pound slim frame. At the plate, the left-handed hitter's best exit velocity was 70 mph. Starts in a balanced stance with a quick load, then uses a big leg kick to initiate his swing. Bat speed was average, and used rotational swing plane. In his round he found some barrels. Pull side approach. Above average from the outfield, he showed the ability to throw at velocities up to 69 mph; has a clean exchange, athletic feet and soft hands. Decent accuracy to the bag, used a long arm action and an-over-the-top slot. During the event, recorded a 60 time of 7.81. On the mound, had a high ¾ arm angle and a consistent arm action with some arm speed. Showed easy effort in his delivery. Balance point is tall with even shoulders during delivery. Lands square with a clean finish. Threw his fastball 67-70 mph with a max of 70 mph; has running action and decent command. Threw a 11/5 curveball (55-59) that showed gradual action and around the zone command. Throws a straight changeup (55-58).
