Schofield has been one of the hottest hitters in the country, and at the ProCase it was no different. Loud BP with multiple balls leaving the yard down RF line. He clears his hips really well and hands work well to contact with high bat to ball skills. Stayed on a CB that he lined the LF for a hit, also had a 2B and another rocket off his bat for a knock. Ability to handle velocity and recognize spin allows him to be one of the elite bats in the country. Arm has enough strength to stay at 3B, makes plays and has calmness to him with high compete level. Should be one the top HS Canadians selected in the June draft.
9/09/17
Schofield has added size and strength while cut down his big leg kick and become more controlled in the box while not losing any of his bat speed or power. Played a terrific third base at Tournament 12 and was one of the better players on the field the entire tournament. Kid has a lot of game and plays with no fear. The bat is his biggest tool and has shown he can handle good fastballs. One of the top uncommitted 2019's available.
3/26/16
Strong with physicality at 5-foot-11, 170-pounds, strong lower half and looks the part as a young 2019 grad. Offensively, big leg kick to load, gets hands back and swings with power and aggressiveness, works on hands staying inside baseball. Loud contact when he gets through and uses his extension, chance to be an elite hitter as he develops. In the infield, tools there to work with. Arm has strength across the diamond, feet and hands work, still fine tunning to get both on same page, same time. Could end up being third baseman down the road, ultimately the bat will carry Schofield.
