6/12/13 Connahan is a 6-foot, 175-pound left-handed hitter that runs well (6.90) and has a solid arm from the outfield (85 mph). He showed the ability to square the baseball consistently with some pop during his round of batting practice. Connahan hits out of a square stance and his flat bat path allows his barrel to remain in the hitting zone for a long period of time. He went 2-for-7 with a double and an infield single that he legged out with his foot speed during game play.
2/23/13 Connahan had the 2nd fastest home-to-first time of the day at 4.00. He showcased an accurate arm on throws of 83 mph with good carry from the outfield. At the plate, the 6-foot, 175-pound left-handed hitter consistently squared the baseball and showed the ability to use all fields. He has a very simple approach to hitting with no wasted motion that allows him to be consistent.
1/26/13 Connahan has put on ten pounds since we last saw him and showed improvement in what was already a strong arm from the outfield. He had the best arm of all outfielders at the event at 84 mph. The left-handed hitter, who played for Team Pennsylvania at last summer's Midwest Future Games, showcased an 83 mph bat exit speed. Connahan has a level swing plane allowing him to stay in the hitting zone for a long period of time. His swing produced consistent line drives to all fields.
10/9/12 Connahan is a 6-foot, 165-pound prospect who impressed in all areas. The left-handed hitter ran a 7.28 60-yard dash, threw 79mph from the outfield and showcased a 78mph bat exit speed. Connahan has very quick hands and the ability to consistently square the baseball. The right-handed thrower has good carry on throws from the outfield and excellent range. He has the ability to go to both gaps to track down fly balls.
6/14/12 Connahan had the most impressive offensive workout of the day. The 6-foot-0, 165 pound outfielder showcased a smooth swing that allowed him to square up baseballs consistently. He displayed gap power and the ability to hit to all fields. Connahan's 79 mph bat exit speed velocity was one of the tops on the day. Connahan also had one of the best outfield arms at the event. He represented Team Pennsylvania at the 2012 Midwest Future Games.
