5-foot-9, 170-pound solid sturdy build. Above average solid at the plate, the right-handed hitter recorded an exit velocity of 84 mph. (68.3 mph bat speed average). (19.3 mph hand speed average). Begins in a tall open stance with a rhythmic long load, then uses a leg kick. Bat speed was efficient, had a level swing plane and level finish. Showed loud contact during his round. Behind the plate, his best position velocity throwing to second was registered at 69 mph; had firm hands, a clean transfer, and fluid in control footwork. recorded a pop time of 2.16-2.25. Calm setup with above average flexibility. Clocked a 60 time of 7.45 at the event. On the mound, showed some above average arm speed, also used a ¾ arm angle and a compact arm action. Drop-and-drive up-tempo type pitcher and shows some effort. Showed consistent balance point with uphill shoulders. Lands square with balanced finish. Threw his fastball 75-77 mph; had cutting sinking action and control decent down in the zone. (Max spin 2216; Avg 2110). Throws a 10/4 curveball (67-68) that has slight action and around the zone control. (Max spin 1957; Avg 1856).

Benitez is 5-9 with a 170 pound athletic frame that has some strength present and some projection left to it. He hits from the right side from an open balanced athletic stance, leg kick stride on line, smooth load back to a slight wrap. Hips rotate completely and he maintains good lower half balance. Hands stay inside, short to the ball, slightly uphill line drive swing path, some strength at contact with extension through the ball, showed a good approach working primarily gap to gap, extra base power present in the alleys with some more to his pull side, exit velocity was 90. Behind the plate, gains ground during exchange, throws from a high three-quarters arm slot, short arm action, position velocity was 68 and pop times 2.20-2.45. Showed some accuracy on his throws. Receiving, works with knee down, works down to up and sways body behind ball. Ran a 7.56 60 yard dash. On the mound, he throws from a high three-quarters arm slot, short free arm action and normal effort to his delivery. Drop and drive delivery, shoulders are uphill and closed, lands closed with an athletic finish. Fastball was 74-76, with some downward angle and some late cut to it. Curveball was 61-64 with good armspeed and big sharp 11/5 break to it. Change-up was 64-65 with some armspeed and some late cut to it.
