PBR Mailbag: Where Will Donovan, Dalesandro Get Picked?

By Nathan Rode

The countdown continues as we’re now three weeks away from the 2015 Draft. After a few days on the road last week to see some of Indiana’s top prospects, I’m back home to spend the remaining time on the phone talking to scouts and getting some draft preview content in order.

In case you missed it, check out the latest installments of The Rode Show as I was able to see RHPs Nolan Watson (Lawrence North HS, IN) and Jarrett Montgomery (Lawrence Central HS, IN) battle in a rivalry game while RHP Bryan Hoeing (Batesville HS, IN) flashed his upside.

Now, let’s answer a draft question…

Where do you think SS Charlie Donovan (Westmont HS, IL) and C/OF/RHP Nick Dalesandro (Joliet Catholic Academy, IL) will be selected?
Three weeks doesn’t seem like much time at all, but it still leaves plenty of time for things to shift as signability comes out on players and seasons wrap up with playoffs around the country. However, things are starting to come into focus and we’re getting a sense of what range some players might get popped. Once again, Illinois has good crop of talent to offer in the draft and Donovan is arguably the top prospect of the group—with LHP Bryan Hudson (Alton HS, IL) receiving plenty of his own buzz.
