Updated Class of 2024 Player Rankings (April)

2021 brought back high school baseball in the state of Michigan where four schools were crowned champions. The state of Michigan has become a hotbed of talent throughout the country placing numerous players at various levels into colleges as well as multiple draft picks. As we close out the summer and move into fall baseball as well as other fall sports we had the opportunity to see hundreds of prospects throughout the summer and present our updated class rankings.

Many names came off the board to some of the top programs around the nation, many new names came to the forefront of the recruiting scene, and many prospects improved their game.

That being said, we have had the pleasure of seeing a number of solid players this past year. Prospects are popping up left and right, making velocity jumps, improving 60-yard dash times and showing more power with the bat.

Below we will take a look at "What's New at the Top", “The Risers”, "The Gamers", "Don't sleep on these arms”, and some of the top uncommitted prospects by position.

What’s New At The Top

Dylan Larkins OF / 1B / U of D Jesuit, MI / 2024

The first mover in the top ten is Dylan Larkins whose rise continues checking in at number 3. The 6-foot-3, 185 pound Michigan commit is a long lever left hand prospect that has a blend of skills and tools. Has a tall stance at the plate showing efficient bat speed. Advanced ability at the plate was evident last summer when he occupied a prominent spot in the lineup at Future Games despite being the lone 2024 hitter on Team Michigan and produced multiple hits. Defensively the Michigan commit has the ability to play all over the outfield and has a strong arm throwing 89 MPH from the outfield at ProCase this winter.

Caleb Bonemer SS / RHP / Okemos, MI / 2024

Cracking the top ten and slotting in at the number 6 spot is Caleb Bonemer. The Virginia commit puts a number of tools on display on the diamond. A SS defensively, Bonemer is a smooth defender with soft hands and a clean exchange. Athletic with a strong arm posting a sub 7.0 60 and an 83 MPH position velocity at his last event. Has been into the high 80’s on the mound as well. At the plate shows a gap to gap approach with an exit velocity of 93 mph.

Nathan Fidelino 3B / RHP / Grand Blanc, MI / 2024

Rounding out the top 10 are a trio of uncommitted two way prospects. Nathan Fidelino slots in at number 7. A bat first prospect who creates loud contact at the plate, Fidelino also possesses a strong arm that has been up to 89 across the infield and in the mid 80’s on the mound.

Brennan Hill LHP / OF / Grosse Pointe North, MI / 2024

Lefthander Brennan Hill follows at 8. A Future Games participant as a freshman, Hill has a lean projectable frame that has been up to  89 on the mound with low 90’s exit velos at the plate.

Parker Brzustewicz 3B / RHP / Orchard Lake St. Marys, MI / 2024

Parker Brustewicz checks in at number 9 after putting his two way ability on display at ProCase this winter. Possessing a three pitch mix with a fastball up to 86 on the mound, Brustewicz has a strong BP round with an exit velocity of 98 mph and good hard hit and sweet spot percentages.

The Risers

Brenson Watters 1B / OF / Rochester Adams, MI / 2024

Report: 1B Brenson Watters makes a jump up to 11 in the latest rankings. A left hand prospect that plays both the outfield and 1B, what sets him apart from most in his class is his ability at the plate. Has an advanced feel for the bat and creates loud and explosive contact through the zone producing a 95 MPH exit velocity. Posted one of the top rounds of BP at this winter’s ProCase, regardless of class. Consistently a top performer at the plate against high level competition.

Aidan Donovan RHP / 1B / Orchard Lake St. Marys Prep, MI / 2024

Report: Aidan Donovan makes a leap to the 12th position after displaying strong playing ability in game action this fall. Fastball has been rumored to have been up to the low 90’s while showing big time power potential at the plate for his class. Athletic frame and easy arm action leaves room for a college to project with current ability.

Kyle Robbins RHP / OF / Birmingham Seaholm, MI / 2024

Report: RHP/OF Kyle Robbins makes a big jump up to number 13 after a strong performance at Eastern Michigan Preseason All State. Throwing out of a low 3/4 arm slot, Robbins ran his fastball up to 92 MPH. Three pitch mix with a tight breaking ball and a changeup. Two way player posted solid overall numbers with a 6.89 60, 90 MPH outfield velocity and 92 MPH exit velocity.

Joey Broughton LHP / 1B / Northville, MI / 2024

Report: LHP/1B Joey Broughton had a breakout performance at ProCase this winter and sits at 17 in the latest rankings. 6-foot-1, 175 pound prospect put an intriguing pitch arsenal on display. Fastball was up to 88 with a spin rate over 2300. Offspeed mix was highlighted by a low 70’s curveball with a spin rate over 2600. At the plate shows a line drive approach and put together a strong BP round with an exit velocity of 94 MPH.

The Gamers

Buster Debol C / 3B / Romeo, MI / 2024

Report: C Buster Debol is a switch hitting catching prospect with a physical frame. Behind the dish has a sub 2.0 pop time with a strong arms that has posted a 77 MPH catching velocity. At the plate has a line drive approach with a low 90’s exit velo from both sides. Put together a nice day at ProCase this winter and was a standout on the Junior Future Games championship team last summer.

Cooper Andrzejewski OF / RHP / Brighton, MI / 2024


Report: OF/RHP Cooper Andrzjewski is an athletic prospect with a wide array of skills that allows him to play all over the diamond. A primary outfielder with a 6-foot-4, 190 pound frame, Andrzejewksi runs well with a 6.8 60 time and has a 83 MPH OF velocity. Up to 84 mph with his fastball on the mound. Line drive approach at the plate with a 94 mph exit velocity. Athleticism extends to the plate and was evident at Junior Future Games where he used his speed to routinely take extra bases.

Gavin Darling 3B / C / Power's Catholic, MI / 2024

Report: 3B/C Gavin Darling is a prospect with a strong physical build that has made him stand out in the class for years. Bat first player with a crouched stance and explosive bat speed. Consistently creates loud contact at the plate. Primary third baseman defensively takes good angles showing consistent footwork. Recently added catching to his repertoire showing an accurate arm behind the dish at winter showcases.

The Sleepers

Myles Sorn C / C / Detroit catholic central, MI / 2024

Report: RHP/C Myles Sorn is another versatile member of the championship Junior Future Games team who built on that performance this winter. Projectable 6-foot-1, 160 pound frame with a three pitch mix on the mound and a fastball up to 82. Behind the dish posted a 1.99-2.05 pop time and has the ability to play in the infield where he has produced a 83 MPH arm velocity at past events. At the plate has a short simple swing with line drive, gap to gap approach and an 89 mph exit velocity.

Jack Dauer SS / RHP / U of D Jesuit, MI / 2024

Report: SS Jack Dauer is a middle infield prospect in the gamer type mold. Aggressive approach at the plate with good bat speed. In game standout at his last showcase crushing a double off the wall in left center. Primary SS with a 83 MPH position velocity and can also slide behind the plate and catch. 4 pitch mix on the mound with a fastball up to 84.

Steven Whitted II SS / 2B / Birmingham Groves, MI / 2024

Report: SS Steven Whitted is a middle infield prospect with a lean projectable frame. Standout defensively with soft hands and a clean exchange. Line drive approach at the plate creating some loud contact. Good athlete posting a sub 7.0 60 time and will be a player to watch as he gets older and adds more strength.

Don’t Sleep On These Arms

Micah Smith RHP / 3B / New Boston Huron, MI / 2024

Report: RHP Micah Smith is a pitching prospect with a projectable 6-foot-2, 175 pound frame. Put his improved arsenal on display this winter with a pair of pitches with spin rates over 2300. Fastball was up to 88 paired with a low 70’s breaking ball. Add Smith to the list of New Boston Huron arms to watch.

Jason Bedol RHP / North Farmington, MI / 2024

Report: RHP Jason Bedol is another breakout arm on the mound. 6-foot, 160 pound frame with plenty of room to fill out as he gets older. Loose arm on the mound running his fastball up to 89 at Eastern Michigan Preseason All State. Shows good command of a 3 pitch mix with sharp late break on the breaking ball.

Gibson Sinke LHP / OF / Hudsonville, MI / 2024

Report: LHP Gibson Sinke is a pitching prospect with a long athletic frame. Long loose arm action on the hill with spin rates in the 2000’s. Showed improved velo this winter running the fastball up to 84 with a 2200 spin rate. Attacks the zone with three pitches using his curve and change up to keep hitters off balance.
