Top Viewed Profiles of 2019

No. 8 Jordan Little

Jordan Little (RHP, 2021, Hickory Grove Christian) jumped onto the PBR scene during the high school season in 2019 and continued to build his profile as a high profile prospect throughout the year.  Long and lanky, there is plenty of projection for college coaches and scouts to continue to fawn over as he matures.  The breakout performance may have been at LakePoint as a member of Team Carolina at the 2019 PBR Future Games.  In front of over 300 college coaches, Little dominated Team Alabama for two innings, working with some ease as his 88 mph fastball created swings and misses and chase up out of the zone.  Little parlayed his performance into a commitment to East Carolina.  There will be plenty of eyes on this prospect as he continues to mature in the coming years.

Scouting Report

7/31/19

Lanky, projectable frame at 6-foot-4, 175 pounds.  Side step into a stable leg lift to the mid-chest.  Minimal movement in the head over the rubber.  Works level, on-line, landing in-line and slightly closed with the toe at foot-strike.  Long arm swing works with ease to an over-the-top slot.  Quick arm.  Good extension.  Fastball ranged 86-88, touching 89.  Life with swing and miss in the zone on the fastball.  Hard, downer breaking ball at 73-75 created swing and miss in the zone and chase out of the zone.  Potential front line starter at the next level with a very high ceiling as the frame continues to add strength.

05.30.18
6 feet 3, 165-pound lanky, projectable build. High ceiling potential on the mound.  Long limbs work with a long, loose arm arc. Better than average arm speed get to a high-¾ slot.  Fastball up to 84, ranging 78-84 with occasional run. Breaking ball is still maturing as the hand works around the pitch at times.  60-64 with gradual 11/5 action. Body can tend to run away from the pitch some. Change-up is a split finger at 64-65. Some effort with a lot of arms and legs, working level and in-line, landing square and athletic.
Lanky and maturing there is quickness and a feel for the body.  Ran a 7.09 sixty. Offensively he works from the left side with a tall, balanced setup. Uses a bigger leg kick for his load and get his lower half through the ball when he is on time with his exit velocity recorded at 88 mph. Shows a more pull type approach looking to get extension but gets long at times causing his barrel to work in and out of zone to quick. Plays through balls in the outfield with average hands and clean exchanges generating good momentum into his throws.  Long arm action working to a high ¾ slot with accurate throws. Arm peaked at 86 from right-field. .

08.27.17
Lanky 6-foot-2, 145 pound frame.  Plenty of maturation ahead.  High ceiling with some present feel.  Quick arm works through a long, loose, arm swing to a high-3/4 slot.  Smooth delivery works on-line.  Fastball has down hill angle at 75-77, touching 78.  Occasional run to the arm side.  Breaking ball acts as a slurve, hard at 65-67.  Sharp, late 10/4 action from good hand speed.  Around the zone with his breaking ball.  Average feel for a straight change at 66-68.
Left handed hitter works from a balanced, tall base, using a weight shift back and leg kick to load.  Short stride.  Level through the zone, there is looseness.  Swing occasionally cuts off extension.  Average barrel awareness.  Exit velocity of 82.  Soft hands, works from an athletic position on the infield.  Fights for rhythm in the feet.  Low, clean exchanges get to a loose, high-3/4 slot.  Some accuracy from the infield and outfield.  Arm speed topped at 78 from right field and 77 from the infield.
