RHP Brady Chambers (Lyons Township, 2024; Michigan State commit) continues to give hitters a tough look from a long-levered 6-foot-6, 210-pound frame. The Michigan State commit has shown well in front of our staff across multiple looks in 2023, and carried that success into his start on Saturday afternoon. Chambers ran the fastball up to 87 mph, while primarily working in the mid-80’s with some carry up in the zone. He also showed improved feel for a mid-70s curveball with late break that got plenty of swings and misses low in the zone. Currently ranked No. 53 inside the state’s 2024 class.
Chambers provided yet another impressive look on the mound during his start on Saturday morning. Has been trending up this spring/summer after a successful showing at the Preseason Underclass showcase. Stands out with a 6-foot-6, 205-pound frame with long-levers. Moves well for his size, getting downhill and utilizing a whippy arm action. Mostly fastballs, working in the mid-80s, T87 mph with finish through the zone. Went to a mid-70s changeup with confidence that has out-pitch potential. Also flashed feel for a low-70s curveball with gradual break. Still more velocity to come within the frame. Currently ranked No. 48 in the state’s 2024 class.
Brady Chambers (Lyons Township, 2024) is a 6-foot-6, 210-pound Michigan State commit who went after the zone with intent and pace. His fastball plays with occasional tilt and backspin from an over the top slot, flashing carry through zone.
Positional Profile: RHP/1B
Body: 6-6, 205-pounds. Tall, well-proportioned build.
Delivery: Tall and fall delivery, easy fall down the mound, works directionally.
Arm Action: RH. Over the top slot, loose.
FB: T86, 85-86 mph. Plays with true backspin through the zone, gets finish and carry. T2090, 2062 average rpm.
CB: 71-72 mph. 12/6 shape, showed depth and average spin. T2345, 2302 average rpm.
CH: 74-77 mph. Loose arm action, fade to arm side. T1640, 1589 average rpm.
Positional Profile: RHP/1B
Body: 6-6, 200-pounds. High upside frame.
Delivery: Controlled tempo down the mound, slight drop/drive lower-half, remains in-line to the plate, front foot lands open.
Arm Action: RH. Short arm circle, plays into a high 3/4 slot.
FB: T82.5, 81.2-82.4 mph. Plays with some sinking action into the zone. T1893, 1815 average rpm.
CB: 68.2-69.5 mph. Sharp 11/5 break with some depth, kept down. T2303, 2192 average rpm.
CH: 75.4-76.1 mph. Fades naturally to the arm-side. T1423, 1393 average rpm.

Body: 6-5, 185-pounds. Advanced physical frame.
Delivery: Tall and fall delivery, slow, rhythmic tempo, repeatable, leg lift works slightly across body, lands square, works in line to target.
Arm Action: RH. Short arm action, high 3/4 arm slot.
FB: T84, 82-83 mph. Mostly straight, plays downhill at times. T2097, 2064 average rpm.
CB: 70-72 mph. 11/5 shape, gradual action. T2245, 2220 average rpm.
CH: 76-77 mph. Straight change, arm speed similar to fastball. T1748, 1720 average rpm.
Hit: RHH. Tall, balanced setup, quick leg lift, short stride. Long, fluid swing, mostly level path, makes contact out front, gap-to-gap approach, line drives.
Power: 88.9 max exit velocity, averaged 83.12 mph. 324’ max distance.
Arm: RH. INF - 80 mph. Short arm action, high 3/4 arm slot.
Defense: Uses backhand, comfortable around first base bag.
Run: 7.97 runner in the 60.
Here’s another impressive two-way freshman follow: Brady Chambers (Lyons Township). Chambers has a highly-advanced, 6-foot-5, 190-pound frame and he used it to sit at an easy 82-83 mph from the mound, touching 84. His low-70s curveball is presently above-average, working off a 10/4 plane, featuring sharp action and an average spin rate of 2,220 rpm. Chambers also showed a projectable right-handed bat with length through the zone, and he registered a max batted distance of 324 feet.

Body: 6-4, 160-pounds. Lanky frame, lean build.
Power: 79 mph exit velocity from the tee.
Run: 8.14 runner in the 60.
Positional Profile: RHP
Delivery: Tall and fall delivery, some effort, works in line, lands upright.
Arm Action: RH. Long arm action, H 3/4 slot.
FB: T78, 75-78 mph. Plays straight.
CB: 63-65 mph. Gradual 11/5 shape.
CH: 66-70 mph. Plays like fastball.
6-foot-4, 160-pound, right-handed pitcher. Lanky, long-levered build that projects. Long arm action, over-the-top slot, hides the ball well. Tall/fall type delivery, short stride downhill, upright finish, repeats well. Fastball sat 75-78 mph, touching 79 mph with tilt. Curveball was used sparingly, played at 64-65 mph, 11/5 shape, gradual action. Projectable arm to monitor in Illinois’ 2024 class.
6-foot-2, 150 pounds. Started on the mound for Rake City on Saturday against Minnesota Blizzard. Pitched four innings, only giving up one run on three hits, four walks, and he struck out four. Fastball sat at 70-71 mph, T71. Curveball ranged between 60-63 mph. Tall, lean frame, high ¾ arm slot, and lands square on his finish.
