Uncommitted. Currently ranked No. 18 in the state. Started on the mound and struck out eight over four innings without allowing a walk. Listed at 6-foot, 169-pounds, the right-hander has an athletic build with some a strong lower-half, looking to still hold plenty of room for added strength. He attacked the zone with his fastball, cruising in the 83-85 mph while reaching back for 88-89 mph to put hitters away. He was confident in both his curveball and slider, dumping the curveball in for strikes around the mid-70s while using the slider to his glove-side to put hitters away also around the mid-70s. His final offering was a changeup around 74-75 mph, thrown with fastball intent and flashing diving action under the zone. Advanced feel to pitch for his age, comfortable throwing any pitch in any count, also was able to hold velocity throughout the entire outing. High-follow arm in the state.
RHP Brandon Pelz (Bartlett, 2026) measured in at a lean 6-foot, 169-pounds, and showed feel for all four pitches in his ‘pen. The No. 22 ranked prospect in the state ran his fastball in the 86-88 mph range (T88.8), playing in the zone 67% of the time with life out of the hand. His curveball was thrown with the same intent as the fastball, playing with downer action at 77-79 mph and 2300+ rpm on average. Pelz’s changeup was impressive as well, finding the zone 75% of the time with 13” of HM on average at 77-79 mph. His slider played with some late bite at 72-75 mph with 2200+ rpm on average.
RHP Brandon Pelz (Bartlett, 2026) showed off some of the best arm-strength from the 2026 class in the event. Listed at 5-foot-11, 165-pounds, athletic with room for added strength. The right-hander’s fastball explodes out of the hand from a lower release, cruising at 83-86 mph and topping out at 87 mph with arm-side run and some finish through the zone. Showed to have some feel for his heavy fading changeup, landing it for strikes 50% of the time, sitting at 77-80 mph with over 20” of run at times.

One of the day’s biggest winners on the mound was RHP Brandon Pelz (Bartlett). The 5-foot-11, 165-pound right-hander showed above-average feel for a three-pitch mix, starting with his fastball that sat 80-82 mph, topping out at 83 mph with life through the zone. He showed feel for both his breaking balls, with the first being a 11/5 curveball that flashed sharp action, 69-71 mph - and the second being a sharp 10/4 slider at 71-72 mph (T2316 RPM). His delivery is athletic, moving with a high leg-kick into a coiled balance point, drop/drive lower-half and striding in-line to the plate. His arm is long and loose out of the glove and plays from a high ¾ slot.
