1B/RHP Christian Lott (Simeon, 2026) is a strong-bodied sophomore who showed well in a couple different aspects on Sunday. The right-handed hitter displayed easy power at the plate, reaching up to 91.9 mph with a max EV of 334’. He’s also a quality defender at first base, displaying steady hands with some feel around the bag. On the mound, the big right-hander has a smooth and easy tempo, delivering his hardest fastball at 80 mph to pair off a tight 12/6 curveball and deceptive changeup with tilt and feel for the zone.

Two big right-handed hitters to make note of are 1B Jaden Franckowiak (Andrew, 2024) and CIF/RHP Christian Lott (Simeon, 2026). 

Lott, listed at 6-foot-3, 175-pounds with even more room to fill out, impressed with his simple, yet strong right-handed swing, remaining level through the zone and using his pull-side primarily. Lott also provides intrigue on the mound with an arm that plays from an over-the-top slot getting true four-seam action on his fastball with occasional ride through the zone.

Hit: RHH. Wide setup, sits backside, repeatable load with some rhythm. Direct path, long through the zone, with present bat speed and some feel for the barrel.

Arm: RH. INF - 75 mph. Live arm with carry across the diamond, high 3/4 to over the top slot.
Defense: Reliable hands with steady actions, two handed gather, secures ball into body.

Delivery: Methodical tempo, high leg kick into a drop and drive lower half, online finish towards home.

Junior Futures Games: In Game two, Illinois took a loss to Team Louisiana 3-2 on a walk-off. Christian Lott toed the rubber for the game and showed advanced feel by commanding three pitches and topping out at 78 on the mound. He projects to be a high-follow on the mound with long loose levers and tons of pitchability. Lott also handled the bat well by lacing a double in the gap for a RBI.
