11.19.15 - Verbally commits to Rend Lake College.
10.11.15 - Strong body 6-foot, 195-pound right-handed hitting infielder and pitcher. Offensively, easy bat speed and simple swing. Ball jumped off his bat at times and barreled a number of baseballs during his round of batting practice. Gap-to-gap type hitter. Open, tall setup, pre-pitch load, reverse toe-tap trigger and good balance through contact. Short, level bat path through the hitting zone. Registered an exit velocity of 83 mph. Defensively, puts a lot into his throws on the infield. Long arm action, over-the-top slot and clocked at 84 mph. Also, ran a 7.60 60. On the mound the right-handed pitcher operates on-line and short stride. Short arm action, over-the-top window and quick arm speed. Fastball sat 80-82 mph mostly straight. Also, featured a curveball and a slider. Slider looked to be the better pitch, 10/4 action, 71-72 mph. Curveball worked 12/6, 69 mph. Change-up flashed fade and arm-side-run ranging between 74-77 mph.
2/17/14 - 6-foot, 180-pound athletic two-way player who projects well. Defensively he plays with soft hands, fluid footwork, quick and clean exchanges. Showed solid, side-to-side range as well. Arm works loose, from a ¾ slot at 81 mph with strong carry and solid accuracy. Ran a 7.38 60. At the plate he hits from a balanced stance with a smooth load, short stride and quality balance through contact. Swing is simple and quiet with an uphill path, quality extension, and above average bat speed. Exit velocity was 78 mph off a tee. On the mound his delivery has slow, smooth rhythm, clean lines, and easy effort. Arm works loose and quick, from a high ¾ slot. Showed strong feel for his fastball, sitting 80-81 mph, flashing 82 mph once, with sinking action. Had advanced feel for his changeup, sitting 68-71 mph with quality arm side run, for strikes. Throws a curveball with 11/5 shape, sitting 66-69 mph.
