+ RHP Eben Heine (Plainfield North HS, IL, 2020; Cangelosi Sparks), a South Carolina-Upstate commit, started in the Championship game. Heine showed a riding four-seam fastball that sat 85-89 mph with feel for three-pitches.

2/10/19 - 6-foot-1, 185-pound right-handed pitcher, proportional build. Tall and fall delivery, slight cross body, closed toe landing, some effort, occasional recoil finish. Arm action is quick, slight reach on back side, high ¾ slot. Fastball runs to arm side, worked down and showed feel, 86-87 mph. Slider plays 10/4, sharp action, fastball arm speed, 73-75 mph. Changeup sinks, fastball arm speed, 75-79 mph.

4.12.18 - 6-foot-1, 175-pound, athletically-built, well-proportioned, right-handed pitcher. Currently ranked No. 19 in the Illinois’ 2020 class. Started on the mound and went five innings, three hits, no runs and two strikeouts. Delivery works with rhythm, high-front side and works slightly across his body, creating some deception at times. Arm works clean and quick from an over-the-top slot. Showed average control of his three-pitch mix which he used frequently throughout. Fastball, around the plate, works straight, sat 83-86 mph, touched 87 twice. Curveball works 11/5, occasional depth, occasionally will slow arm speed and guide it into the zone, sat 69-74 mph. Changeup, straight action, feel, 74-77 mph. High-follow 2020 right-handed pitcher, who looks to be just scratching the surface of his potential.

2.18.18 - 6-foot-1, 175-pound two-way player, athletic build, strong shoulders, lean waist. Premium pitching prospect in the 2020 class. Carries a ton of presence on the mound, exudes confidence throughout session. Side step rocker leads to athletic lift that keeps hands in rhythm, lands square, moves easy down the mound. Plus arm speed, clean regular arm circle, high ¾ slot, little effort. Fastball has easy life, showed ability to command, finishes hard through the zone at 85-87 mph, topped at 88 mph. Slider is sharp on 11/5 plane, occasional downer action showing depth, has feel, 71-73 mph. Straight changeup has feel, occasional fade, 71-76 mph. RIght-handed hitter, balanced stance with leg kick stride. Long path with bat speed, gap to gap approach. 89 mph exit velocity from the tee. Defensively showed arm strength, 88 mph from the outfield. Actions play through with athleticism, 7.35 runner in the 60.

7.24.17 - 6-foot-1, 165-pound right-handed hitting OF/RHP with a lanky frame. Features plus arm strength, threw 90 mph from the outfield in workouts. Raw arm strength translates on the mound. Long arm action from a high ¾ slot, throws showed carry. Plays thru the ball with athletic actions and a quick exchange. At the plate hits from a balanced slightly open setup with a toe tap stride and fair balance. Long, level swing path. 4.61 runner down the line. 87 mph exit velocity from a tee. On the mound works from a high ¾ arm angle with a quick arm action. Drop and drive Uptempo delivery with a slightly closed landing. Fastball sat 81-85 topping out at 86 mph, lost velocity from the stretch. Curveball has 11-5 shape with short breaking action at 70-72 mph. Changeup sat 76-78 mph. 

1.28.17 - 6-foot-1, 165-pound, athletically built, two-way prospect. Flashed advanced tools for his age. On the mound, right-handed pitcher with a high ceiling. Loose, quick arm action from a high ¾ slot. Drop and drive delivery and regular effort throughout. Fastball, thrown for strikes, arm-side action and sat 81-83 mph. Curveball flashed depth at times, 12/6 action, 70-72 mph. Changeup maintains arm speed, straight action, sat 72-74 mph. Defensively, advanced arm strength from the outfield for his age; clocked at 91 mph with carry. Arm is clean, quick and loose. Aggressive approach to the baseball, plays through, clean exchange and reliable hands. Offensively, right-handed hitter with bat speed and some violence in swing. Balanced setup, deep pre-pitch load, toe-tap timing trigger, and long, uphill path through the zone. Consistently found the barrel and the ball jumps off his bat; 83 mph exit velocity from a tee. High ceiling two-way prospect.
