OF James Dooman (Glenbrook South) was all over the barrel during both the workout and gameplay portions of the event. A strong, well-proportioned 5-foot-10, 180-pound right-handed hitter, Dooman began the event by posting a max exit velocity of 96.6 mph during the workout. He has an intentful swing that looks to elevate the ball, while he made hard contact to the middle/pull-side parts of the field during batting practice. The barrel strength translated over to gameplay where he was consistently on the barrel, even when he made outs. Defensively, he showed comfortable actions in the outfield and should be able to stick out there at the next level.
