Formerly ranked No. 196 in Illinois’ 2022 class. Athletic build, 5-foot-11, 175-pounds with round shoulders and a strong lower-half. Cummings led the entire event with a 6.50 in the 60-yard dash. Right-handed hitter with a bigger swing at the plate and some pull-side pop, reaching up to 94.4 mph for a max exit velocity with a max distance of 352’. On the infield, he showed steady actions and hands with a max velocity of 86 mph across the diamond.  

Parkland JC commit INF Jayden Cummings (Simeon, 2022), currently a top-200 prospect in the state, had another strong showing at this event. Cummings, listed at 5-foot-10, 175 pounds, ran one of the top 60s of the event (6.82) and he showed quality infield actions on the left-side to go along with an 83 mph arm. Offensively the right-handed hitter showed quick, strong hands that work off a short/direct path, registering a 90.7 mph max exit velocity. Cummings features upside to all parts of his game and should be able to stick on the infield moving forward.

Defense: Athletic fielder with upside, quick feet, clean exchange out front.
Run: 6.98 runner in the 60. Quick off the line. 

Rake City leadoff hitter, showcased game-changing type of speed on the bases. Cummings pulled up early on a groundout to first base and ran a 4.43 down-the-line. He followed that up with a 4.30 on a groundout to shortstop in his final at-bat. Cummings also scored from second base on an errant pickoff throw that did not leave the infield. Highly-athletic, table-setter type.
