True freshman. 6-foot-2, 212-pounds, physical with strength throughout. The left-handed hitter was all over the barrel throughout BP, reaching up to 102.6 mph for his max EV and averaging 94.6 mph. He showed the ability to drive the ball with backspin to his pull-side, reaching up to 389’ for his max distance.
A John A. Logan signee, Connors rounded-out an outstanding prep career at Lincoln-Way East with another solid season at the plate to help lead the Griffins to a Class 4A Sectional Championship. The Southwest Suburban All-Conference selection finished the spring with a .362/.544/.724 slash line with eight home runs, 51 RBI’s and 38 runs scored for the Griffins. Connors currently holds Lincoln-Way East career records in RBI’s (83) and on-base percentage (.555) across 238 plate appearances, and ranks third all-time in slugging percentage, fourth in triples, walks, and career batting average and fifth in home runs.
