Heartland CC commit. Ranked No. 95 in the state’s 2024 class. 6-foot-4, 225-pound frame, showing more athleticism and lean strength since our last time seeing him. Threw a complete game for the Mallards and struck out 13, walked two, allowed three runs and four hits. Simple delivery, medium leg lift with slight tuck, works in-line down the mound. Loose, clean and quick arm out of a high ¾ slot. Showed a more polished look today, withimprovement in his breaking and more confidence to throw it in different counts. Fastball sat 83-86 mph, touching 87 mph twice. His breaking ball sat 73-76 mph with 2200-2300 rpm, thrown for strikes and created multiple swing-and-misses.

RHP Lance Kiesewetter (Henry-Senachwine, 2024) is a name that is slowly garnering more and more attention on the hill. His physical 6-foot-4, 225-pound frame is hard to miss on the bump, and his two innings at the Illinois State Games did not disappoint. He struck out three and allowed no hits in 1 2/3 innings of work. His fastball sat 83-86 mph, topping out at 86.5 mph with clear carry and rise through the zone (T24” IVB). He mixed in a curveball with tight, 11/5 shape that sat 71-74 mph with quality spin at a max of 2428 RPM. Kiesewetter’s metrics have continued to tick up since the spring, and he is showing more confidence in his breaking ball as well. The uncommitted incoming senior is a name-to-know in the state’s 2024 class.

Coming off a successful spring, Kiesewetter gave another impressive look out of the bullpen on Friday afternoon. Physical 6-foot-4, 225-pound frame that moves well on the mound for his size. Live arm that worked in the low-to-mid 80s, T87 mph with finish through the zone. Threw a tight curveball in the low-70s that got swings and misses out of the zone. An arm to watch as he enters his senior year.

Stands at a strong 6-foot-4, 230-pounds. Started on the mound and batted fourth for the Mallards. On the mound, Kiesewetter works downhill with acceleration out front. He threw a complete game for the Mallards and struck out eight. His fastball sat 82-84 mph, topping out at 85 mph. Mixed in a curveball that sat 67-71 mph with 11/5 shape. At the plate, direct path with slightly uphill plane, barrels the ball when struck, power in the swing, tallied two hits on the weekend. Kiesewetter is an uncommitted name-to-know the class of 2024.

Uncommitted. The Mallards went 2-1 last week with two wins over Dwight. Kiesewetter had an impressive performance on the mound in their 4-0 win, throwing a no-hitter with 17 strikeouts and three walks.

1B/RHP Lance Kiesewetter (Henry Senachwine) is listed at a physical 6-foot-4, 230-pounds. On the mound, the right-hander moves into a medium leg-lift before working with a tall/fall lower-half down the mound, striding in-line with the plate. His arm works long out of the glove and plays from a high ¾ slot. His fastball possesses above-average induced vertical break, maxing out at 20.9 with an average IVB of 18.9, 81-83 mph.
