A Valparaiso commit, Foley turned in a stellar season for Lake Zurich as he went 6-0. Foley struck out 93 batters, threw 51 IP, and allowed just 8 ER. Foley ended the year with a 1.10 ERA and a 0.843 WHIP. The southpaw was a workhorse for Lake Zurich as he tossed three complete games and one no-hitter. With that, the sixteenth-ranked LHP in Illinois' 2023 class lands on our third team after an impressive spring.

Valparaiso commit. In the Bears 10-0 win over Zion-Benton, Foley threw a five inning no-hitter, striking out 14 of the 15 batters faced. He was a dropped popup away from throwing a perfect game. In their 12-11 win over No. 4 Huntley, he picked up the save.

Up to 78 mph at the start of last summer, Foley sat exclusively 81-83 mph on Sunday evening with arm-side action that worked well alongside his well-located change, and he showed the feel spin his curveball well, featuring depth that he spotted under the zone.
