Missouri S&T commit, currently ranked No. 249 in the state. Known for his prowess on the mound, Riebeling actually stood out on the other side of the ball this time around, starting at shortstop and hitting out of the three-hole for the Eagles. The right-handed hitter has a long, flat path through the zone with some intent in his operation, showing the ability to stay through the ball with authority the other way, as he sent a home run over the right field wall. Quality actions on the infield, steady hands with a clean transfer. His arm plays well across the diamond with life and accuracy to his target.

Verbally committed to Missouri University S&T.

RHP Lucas Riebeling (Columbia, 2024) showed well in front of our scouting staff, firing 2.2 innings while allowing just one earned run and striking out two. Up-tempo delivery, slight drop/drive lower-half that works in-line. Loose, clean arm that plays from a ¾ slot. Fastball worked in the 82-85 mph range with a finish through the zone. Showed some confidence in his curveball, landing it for strikes consistently at 71-73 mph (2200-2300 RPM). Also went to a fading changeup at 77-79 mph, killing spin.

Body: 5-9, 160-pounds.
Delivery: Up tempo, high leg lift with slight tuck, shorter stride, foot lands closed. Gave up one run in three innings of work while striking out two.
Arm Action: RH. Full arm circle, easy, 3/4 slot.
FB: T85, 82-85 mph. Heavy sink on pitches to armside. T2209, 1930 average rpm.
CB: 72-73 mph. Late-break with 11/5 shape. T2340, 2228 average rpm.
CH: 78-80 mph. Fades out of zone. T1496, 1340 average rpm.

Uncommitted. Athletic 5-foot-9, 150-pound frame. Drew the start for Columbia in the 2A state championship game. Quick tempo, simple mover, gets to his balance point in rhythm and works downhill in a tall/fall type pattern. Upright at footstrike, strides in line to target and finishes over his front knee at release. Short, athletic, and continuous arm stroke, works clean from a high ¾ slot. Fastball sat in the low-80s, touching 84 mph a handful of times over the first few two innings. Confidently spun a downer breaking ball with depth at 71-73 mph, 2400-to-2500 RPM. Flashed feel to fade a changeup in warmups, turned to it sparingly in-game. 

Riebeling is a 5-foot-4 110-pound right-handed hitting outfielder and shortstop in Illinois’ 2024 class. He ran a 4.87 home to first and had a 61 mph exit velocity. At the plate, open stance, starts in back leg, minimal load in lower half, some hand load, in line stride, level swing, produced mostly middle of the field line drives.  In the outfield, high three quarters arm slot, maintains momentum from footwork through the transfer, works behind the ball, clean exchange, 68 mph positional velocity. On the infield, 64 mph positional velocity, high three quarters arm slot, long arm circle, works to the ball quickly, transfer and throw on time with momentum in footwork.
