2/10/19 - 6-foot-3, 200-pound catcher, strong athletic build, projectable frame. Arm action is short and loose, over the top slot, plus arm strength, flashed premium carry, 83 mph out of the crouch, played accurate. Exchange is quick and clean, quick footwork, 1.94-2.01 pop times. Right-handed hitter with slightly wider setup, toe tap stride. Gets to front foot, drifts at times, bat path has length and gets extension. 91 mph exit velocity from the tee. 7.41 runner in the 60.

9.16.18 - Purdue commit. 6-foot-3 200-pound athletic, strong catcher currently ranked No. 27 overall in Illinois 2020 rankings. Very impressive skill set behind, mobile for size, soft receiver with a quick clean exchange on throws. 1.98-2.01 in between innings, in game 2.11 to the bag. Was not afraid to throw behind runs, arm strength is above average for position. Offensively, hits from the right side, tall athletic setup in the box. Showed good speed through the zone and made consistent hard contact.

8.12.18 - Verbally committed to Purdue.

7.30.18 - At OK Limited Series, Schicker did an excellent job behind the plate. The 6-foot-2, 195-pounder has quick feet with a clean transfer, and made strong accurate throws to second base between innings. Challenged early on in the game, he nailed a runner at second base with a pop time of 1.95. At the plate, the right-handed hitter stands tall, and uses a light toe-tap to work his hands slightly back while separating with a normal stride, and working fast through the zone on a level plane while trying to stay inside the ball.

6.6.18 - 6-foot-3, 200-pound, strong, durable, athletically-built, catcher. Defensively, short arm action, over-the-top slot, throws on target with carry, 78 mph out of the crouch. Soft receiver, fluid footwork, clean exchanges, pop times ranged between 2.00-2.08. Offensively, right-handed hitter, balanced setup, hands load back smoothly, leg lift stride, maintains good balance. Gap-to-gap hitter, hands work loosely, fluid rhythm, long barrel path, present bat speed, 89 mph exit velocity off a tee. Ran a 7.92 laser-timed 60.

5.24.18 - 6-foot-3, 200-pound, right-handed hitting catcher, extra-large, durable frame. Showed advanced abilities behind the plate for 2020 classification. Soft hands, quiet receiver, agile blocks, quick transfer and release. Short, loose arm action, high ¾ slot, showed consistent carry and accuracy on top of the second base bag. In between innings, popped 2.04 from the crouch as well as 2.32 from his knees. Plays hard and competes on both sides of the ball. Aggressive on pickoffs, threw behind runners at any base in any situation. Offensively, balanced setup, smooth load, leg lift trigger. Long fluid bat path, pull side tendencies, ball jumped off his bat when contact was made. Flew out deep to centerfield twice, hustling out of the box.

2.18.18 - 6-foot-3, 200-pound, strong, durable catcher with a thick lower half. Right-handed hitter, balanced setup, smooth loading action and slight leg-lift trigger. Long bat path, pull approach, ball jumps off the barrel at times and flashed pull-side power. 84 mph exit velocity from a tee. Defensively, presents low target, agile blocker. Works across his body on exchange, short arm action, from a ¾ slot. Strong arm, clocked at 80 mph. Pop times ranged between 1.97-2.08. 8.41 runner in the 60.

9.9.17 - 6-foot-1, 200-pound, strong, physical, right-handed hitting first baseman. Offensively, balanced setup, athletic swing, loose hands, made consistent, hard contact. Showed offensive awareness, gaining extension on his swing to drive a ball opposite field.

4.15.17 - 6-foot-1, 200-pound, thick, durable build, strong lower half, right-handed hitting catcher. Advanced defensive catcher. Sets up low, flexible for his size, presents a good target for the pitcher, sticks pitches in the zone, can get underneath the low pitch and presents it well, soft, quiet hands. Active blocker, deadens baseball in front of him. Clean transfer, accurate throws, 2,12-2.19 pop times in between innings. Offensively, tall, open setup, high-back elbow, uses the whole field. Finished the day 1-for-4 at the plate. Follow 2020 catcher.
