Kentucky commit. Currently ranked No. 16 in Illinois and No. 430 Nationally. Listed at 6-foot-4, 225-pounds, the right handed hitter batted second and started in center field. Works in a simple, balanced stance with a toe tap trigger to start the swing, hands work level through the zone on a direct path to the ball. His third at-bat, flew out to deep center field, missing a home run by a couple of feet. Defensively, Harris has a quick first step and takes proper routes to the ball.

Northwestern commit. Ranked No. 22 in the Illinois’ 2024 class. 6-foot-4, 205-pounds, physical, broad-shouldered, right-handed hitter. Got the start at shortstop and batted second going 2-for-4 on the day with a double and three RBIs. The right-handed hitting shortstop has quick, athletic hands through the zone with a compact swing. Creates natural back spin and drives the ball into the gaps with power. Defensively, made one play to the glove side working with athletic movements to the ball with a clean glove to hand transfer. 

Uncommitted, currently ranked No. 25 in the Illinois 2024 class. Ultra-physical, 6-foot-4, 200-pound frame, broad shoulders with a high-waist and well-proportioned frame. Started in left-field and hit out of the three-hole for No. 17 Yorkville on Tuesday; finishing the day 1-for-4 with a double down the line that looked to be just a single but was stretched into extra bases. The right-handed hitter starts in an athletic/open stance, working back to the plate with a long knee-knock stride; hands start high and create some separation at foot-strike before moving with a flat path to the ball, hands are extremely quick and strong through contact with easy power to the whole field. Harris showed off an extremely strong arm from the corner outfield position as well as highly quick/athletic feet; covering ground with ease and making impressive throws to bases with effortless velocity and carry. Harris is a must-see 2024 prospect for any college coach.

INF Nate Harris (Yorkville, 2024) looks to have the makings to be considered one of the top Illinois Class of 2024 prospects moving forward. Harris’ advanced 6-foot-4, 200-pound, wide-shouldered, athletic frame immediately stands out as does the fact that he ran a clean and easy 6.84 laser-timed 60. On top of that, he showed a clean, physical right-handed swing with all kinds of feel and power attached to it. Harris routinely launched balls with authority into both gaps while staying within himself and on balance. Harris recorded an average exit velocity of 90.1 mph to go along with a max batted distance of 346 feet. Defensively, he has loose, athletic actions, sure hands, and a big arm that topped at 92 mph across the diamond. Harris has emerged as one of the top uncommitted position players in the class.
