Boston College commit, currently ranked No. 45 in the state. 6-foot, 185-pound frame, athletic build with proportionate strength, rounded shoulders with some present muscle throughout. Started in centerfield and hit out of the leadoff spot for Central, finishing the day with a double in his first at-bat on a mid-90s fastball, followed by a hard-hit single his second at-bat. Athletic right-handed hitter, aggressive early in counts and ambushed the fastball, present twitch and bat-speed. Plus runner, 6.41 in the 60 in previous looks, speed plays up in center with advanced range and reads on balls, true centerfield profile with a sufficient arm.

OF Patrick Connors (Hinsdale Central, 2026) has had one of the most impressive years in the state and continued to shine in Rantoul. Strong 6-foot, 185-pound athletic frame. Connors was a member of Team Heartland in this year’s Senior Future Games. The outfielder is known for his speed as he picked up 44 stolen bases this past Spring while also running a 6.41 60 in Georgia. The speed translates to the outfield where he is able to track down difficult fly balls in all parts of the field. Connors posted a max EV of 97.1 mph at the plate during Tuesday’s workout. The right-handed hitter operates from a compact base with a short swing that is quick through the zone.

2025 Senior Future Games: OF Patrick Connors (Hinsdale Central, 2026) is coming off a strong spring season that landed him on the Prep Baseball Illinois Third Team All-State list, also earning Prep Baseball National Player of the Week in the middle of May. At Tuesday’s workout, Connors ran an impressive 6.41 60 time, and followed it up with a strong round of batting practice from the right-side. He barreled his hardest hit ball 97.6 mph, sending it 374 feet, while averaging 90.2 mph. There’s bat speed through the zone (avg. 74.2 mph), and his athleticism translates to the outfield where he recorded an 87 mph outfield velocity.

Uncommitted, in a four game stretch Connors had eight hits in sixteen ABs with nine stolen bases. Also threw three innings on the mound allowing just one hit and no runs.

Uncommitted, in a three game stretch last week, Connors went 7-for-11 with a double, five runs, and six stolen bases. Also pitched three innings on the week, recording a one inning save against Willowbrook, allowing no hits and no runs and threw two innings in relief against York, allowing no runs, one hit, and striking out one.

OF Patrick Connors (Hinsdale Central, 2026) is a toolsy athlete to know from the scout day. 5-foot-11, 180-pounds with some present strength and evenly distributed weight. Twitchy right-handed swing, quick/strong hands with some power the other way, showed the ability to stay through the baseball and drive it on the outer-half; 94.8 mph max EV. 6.90 runner in the 60, athleticism transfers to the outfield easily with a quick first step and easy range, sure-handed actions. Strong arm, reaching up to 85 mph from a crowhop with life out of the hand.

Uncommitted. Connors is an easy free flowing athlete out in center field with advanced arm strength and great instincts to pair. He has a short and simple right handed stroke that loves to take the ball the other way. Strong lower half paired with quick hands allow him to keep the barrel through the zone for a long time.

OF/INF Patrick Connors (Hinsdale Central, 2026) impressed at this event last year, and the right-handed hitting utility man continues to look the part as an advanced right-handed bat in the state’s sophomore group. In BP, Connors swung a clean, controlled barrel with a loose, easy all-around operation that consistently stayed on the barrel. He translated that knack for hitting to the gameplay portion, where Connors totaled four hits, and he didn’t strikeout, either. Defensively, Connors is a free-flowing mover in the outfield with confident, athletic actions to pair.

Junior Futures Games: Game four versus Team Oklahoma tasked Team Illinois with a matchup against a talented pitcher who reached an 86 mph high on the mound. That high-end arm woke the bats up and the team won 11-8 nonetheless. Patrick Connors led the way with two hits and one being a triple which was crushed to the right-center gap. Connors has a simple approach at the plate which allows him to get the barrel to contact consistently. He frequently squared up baseballs throughout the week.

Connors continued to show his knack for contact and advanced bat-to-ball skills, collecting a handful of hits while on the barrel throughout his three games. A 7.05 runner with an upside 5-foot-10, 155-pound frame, Connors continues to prove he’s a name to know in the Illinois’ 2026 class.
