5.17.18 - Eastern Illinois recruit, currently ranked No. 63 in Illinois’ 2018 class. 5-foot-10, 191-pound two-way prospect with strong build and defined lower half. Impressed on the mound and at the plate. Came out of the pen hot, firing 90-mph fastballs, and settled in at 87-88 in final two innings. Generates more downhill plane to his fastball than his size would indicate. Long arm swing coming out of a high slot. High-effort delivery, quick arm, pitches with aggressiveness. Breaking ball showed sharp late bite when in the zone, potential swing-and-miss offering in mid-70s. Throws everything with aggressive intent. … Offensively, has a balanced, aggressive approach, delivered three hits, including a line drive off the pitcher, and a sac fly. Hard-nosed player who could be an impact two-way player at Eastern Illinois as a closer/hitter.

5.7.18 - Eastern Illinois commit. Ranked No. 63 in Illinois’ Class of 2018. 5-foot-10, 191-pound, outfielder, athletic frame, strong lower half. Balanced, slightly open setup, short stride. Short, uphill barrel path, quick to contact. Makes consistent hard contact to all fields. Sees the ball well and has a feel for the zone. Hit a home run over the center field wall in first at-bat, followed with a hard hit single to left field. Had two fly balls caught on the warning track. Defensively, throws carry from the outfield.

7.17.17 - Verbally committed to Eastern Illinois.

4.4.17 - 5-foot-10, 191-pound right-handed hitting SS/RHP. Impressed at the plate and on the mound for Cary-Grove. At the plate hits from a balanced, slightly open stance. Short stride with a short uphill swing path, and a fast bat. Went 4-5 in game with a double and two RBIs. 4.87 on the turn. Arm plays well across the infield, projects for third base at the next level. Came in relief working two innings striking out three. Works from an over the top arm angle with a long, quick arm action. Tall and fall delivery with a closed landing and some effort in release. Showed improved velocity from the winter. Fastball sat 88 and touched 90 mph with downhill tilt. Curveball has 12-6 shape at 75-77 mph. Featured a slider/cutter at 81-82 mph with late breaking action.  

2.19.17 - 5-foot-10, 191-pound right-handed hitting shortstop. At the plate hits from an open stance with a short stride and good balance. Long, uphill swing path. Showed strength thru contact with 98 mph exit velocity from a tee. Ran the 60 at 7.13. Defensively showed a big arm across the infield throwing 89 mph. Long arm action from a high ¾ arm angle. Fluid footwork with a long exchange. 

1.29.17 - 5-foot-10, 191-pound right-handed pitcher with a compact frame. On the mound works from an over the top arm angle with a long, quick arm action. Tall and fall delivery with a short stride and closed landing. Showed raw arm strength on the mound running his fastball up to 86 mph. Fastball has some tilt at 83-86 mph. Splitter is best secondary offering with downer action at 76-78 mph. Curveball has 11-5 shape at 72-73 mph. Changeup sat 78-81 mph.
